  1. I meant that I was invested in our back and forth. I understand your position. I don’t think I’ll live forever, nor may I get to see fruit of another slow rebuild. I might be sick and I’m terrified. But there’s room for nuance and I don’t fault the GM in the same way you do…and you haven’t provided a reason to be up in arms to regarding the goaltending position. Go Sabres. We all have. I’m just asking for the lack of a move where GMKA effed up. Surely there’s one for all this vitriol. Can you point to it?
  2. The Jets D is for real. The Bills have plenty to clean up, but I’ll take it.
  3. Ok so now I’m invested. You’re going to die on the hill that the Sabres should have signed a career backup in Jake Allen, who has sported a 2022-23 line of 8-10, with a .896 save percentage and GAA of 3.40? I hope you see that half the league is looking for what the Sabres are looking for at the moment. This is not enough to roast the GM.
  4. I land here as well. Elite teams have an effective third scoring line or shutdown checking line. Buffalo doesn’t have either of those quite yet. The elite is there, but qualified pieces remain unfulfilled on the above.
  5. I’m too hot of a commodity 😜
  6. I’m not going to forcefully push back, but I would like a sample of what worked elsewhere that should have been the Sabres move. The only transaction that could have been the one is the Husso trade (with a huge risk given sample size). But it isn’t like the Sabres stood idle while the whole league flipped competent goalies via trade Willy Nilly. I just find it hard to blame the Sabres when Ulmark left them at the altar for more money than most thought reasonable for a guy who couldn’t stay healthy. I wanted Jack Campbell signed via UFA in the off-season and he has a 4.12 GAA so far this year. Half of the league is looking for a number one goalie in the NHL right now.
  7. This might be true, but we are talking about third pair D (also Bear sucks…I don’t think he was an upgrade over anything). Pretty far from blockbuster or super-impactful. So no NHL team has acquired a top six forward, a top four D, or a starting goalie. But it’s just our GM isn’t doing enough?
  8. Back to back weeks I’ve lost my starting QB mid game. 😢😢
  9. What moves since opening night made by other teams are we supposed to be jealous of?
  10. I think the Bills drafted three O-line in 2021 and one in 2022. However, none in the first four rounds.
  11. It’s Terry’s fault. He’s in the coaches room demanding short and cute passes. Always meddling. Prove it wrong!
  12. Is Clague benched or injured?
  13. I did not. Thank you for clarifying.
  14. Brutal. But the assertion that he’s one of the most talented players on this team can certainly be debated. He’s easily replaceable today.
  15. I missed that and now I’m sad
  16. OMG another season of this? I guess I forgot. Yikes.
  17. But they’re getting the money train of the Bills greased by Bills content. I’m not criticizing the Pegulas…as owners of both teams, they win either way.
  18. Understood. Mitts is a RFA at season’s end. Just don’t qualify him and move on. It’s time.
  19. When you love your manager as a person, but they aren’t detail oriented/too busy. I like my job. I’ll carry a heaping pale of water for you. But can you please just read what I wrote in email in its entirety? Would you please pretend you’re trying to remove roadblocks instead of firing off one sentence nightmares? Surely someone can sympathize.
  20. With development in mind, it is time to move Mitts for whatever, and install Krebs in that role. That can be 3C, or wing. Mitts has stalled. With the current top two lines set in stone, Casey is a blocker for future development. With Krebs in a third line role, he will get low pressure minutes and a chance to grow. It’s time. The Sabres organization cannot let the unicorn that is Tage prevent them from moving on from players. If Mitts flourishes elsewhere, so be it.
  21. I grew up in Rochester and without cable, so not many Sabres games when I was a kid. With that in mind, I listened to Don Stevens and the Amerks religiously. I called into the intermissions when the radio broadcast took callers (that was wild lol). Stevens is the type of guy who sounds like he is falling off a cliff when the Amerks score…he SCOOORRRRRREEEeeessssssssssssss… Side note: When I was a kid, I wanted to be the guy who yelled, “he shoots, he scores!” on the radio. I went to school for broadcast communications and have called many hockey games on the radio…but that was a long time ago. I appreciate Dan for not falling into the Don Stevens cliche. But at the same time, that’s exactly what I want. And I felt like Dan was the opposite of a cliff diver during those big moments. Dan has gotten better at not seeming to be surprised by a goal for or against. He’s more on top of the play. It probably helps to call competitive games and that’s what the Sabres are today. I hate that we still get a tv call for radio-only games from him, but I got used to it because RJ was similar in that way. Today, I think Dan calls a smooth game. I am happy to have him. And the guy following THE GUY are huge shoes to fill. He’s never tried to sound like Rick because that’s not him. Last thing…Tage’s goals replayed in my head have Dan’s voice in my head. And they’re honestly good calls. I hope Dan sticks around and grows up with this team.
  22. This is the Sabres fault. The Sabres are the only organization in the league that simulcasts their tv PBP for the radio. Everyone else has a dedicated radio and tv team. It’s garbage.
  23. Thank you. I didn’t do the math, but assumed an above comment as accurate. As you said, it is still a tall order. I’ll watch no matter what. Go Sabres.
  24. I’ll just never understand why people who mop toilets (or nickname themselves after the tools of such) think it is fun to troll people on the internet. Dear mop of toilets, please find a new hobby. And congrats, you’re the person who encouraged me to learn the ignore feature of this website. Please wear this as a badge of honor. I hope you one day feel that it is more redeeming to engage in discourse rather than rattle a can in people’s faces. I hope something happens in your life that makes you happy enough to be decent to strangers who have a common bond (Sabres fandom).
  25. LOL you’re right. The Voodoo Ranger Imperial IPA must have got me shook up. My bad. I think the projection of numbers I laid out above will ring true. The Sabres aren’t going to play .700 hockey from here on out to get to 98 points. I just don’t see it. The only potential dramatic change to the Sabres season would be a goaltending upgrade, and I just cannot see them acting on that today…because who would be available? Goalie upgrades aren’t typically done mid season. And a deadline deal for a goalie like MA Fleury (the big fish from last year) don’t seem like Buffalo would be a logical destination. And even if they could pull off something major for a legitimate goalie, that would require waivers for either Anderson of Comrie. I just don’t see it. I apologize in advance if there are typos to the above. I’m logging off now lol 🍻
