  1. Well 💩 I didn’t know that. Thank you.
  2. I think you’ll see Benson’s minutes and PP time will dwindle. He is a smart player, but he doesn’t have an NHL body yet and it will wear him down over time. Like Freeman said, a lot could change in two weeks. An injury or a clearing of UPL’s roster spot could change things. Another option is to send him to Junior’s and recall him later in the year if the league is too easy for him.
  3. One thought I had…the Bills offense scored two fourth quarter touchdowns while running the two minute offense. Maybe Buffalo should come out of the gate in the hurry up K-Gun style offense on Thursday?
  4. With the injuries on the defensive side of the ball, there’s legitimate reason to wonder if this is a playoff team. But I believe they are. The Bills will be favored to win each of their remaining home games and if the script follows, that’s nine wins. Cinci looks vulnerable, Phili is underwhelming so far despite their record, the Bills have won in KC the last two years, the Chargers aren’t good, and the Bills have been great against Miami in the McD era. Find a road win or two and let’s gooooo in January.
  5. Savoie’s two week conditioning stint ends on Nov 5. The Sabres play eight games between now and then. Assuming Benson is healthy enough to play at some point this week, his nine game showcase will end about that time. My friendly wager is that Benson goes back to juniors and Savoie will get his nine game look.
  6. Cooley or Houser will go to Jacksonville once Toker is back.
  7. The Amerks are home on Wednesday 🤔
  8. If he had value, don’t you think he would have been moved by now?
  9. I ask the question because if UPL is in the Sabres long-term plans, then they are criminally negligent for how they’re handling his continued development. The team practices 2-3/week depending on how many games they play that week. That’s UPL’s ice time right now. GMKA said last year that UPL has to play to develop. If he is not in the long-term plan, what is he still doing here taking up a roster spot? Not to mention the Amerks starter (Tokarski) hasn’t played yet due to injury. The Amerks could actually use a good goalie right now (and not give up 40 shots a night, among other things).
  10. At this point, having a third goalie in the mix isn’t accomplishing anything. I realize UPL is on a one way deal so he’s making his NHL salary regardless of where he plays…but he’s not developing any further in the press box. Is it time to risk a waiver claim and send him down?
  11. Duff’s in Niagara Falls will do the trick.
  12. Sabres always scored six in the goat heads last year, so I’ll go 6-4 win
  13. Late season numbers generally dwarfed early season numbers pushing the average. While the Sabres are my #1, the Bills come first in WNY.
  14. This is not a Buffalo problem. Attendance is down league-wide. https://www.msn.com/en-ca/sports/nhl/several-nhl-teams-already-struggling-with-attendance/ar-AA1iwBWn?ocid=msedgntp&pc=ACTS&cvid=70cf165d6d654fd18ae558dd7c493fb2&ei=25 A couple notes: -The Caps sellout steak of 588 games ended this week. -Calgary & Winnipeg didn’t sell out their home opener. -San Jose only had 10k in their building this week. Buffalo has had October & November attendance problems throughout the drought. This isn’t new.
  15. I like your style. I’m currently sipping a glass of Angel’s Envy I bought for 47.99 in ROC this evening.
  16. A southern tier 19oz can at the arena is $16.50. It’s infuriating.
  17. I eat tacos weekly and it kind of depends what you’re looking for…but I would recommend Old Pueblo Grill on University for street tacos (second location in Victor), and La Casa in the south wedge for a more authentic experience.
  18. Born in Rochester, NY
  19. He did skate along the bench and get fist pounds, which I’ve never seen a goalie do before. That was kind of cool.
  20. I was going to try to make the case that Comrie could be an NHL talent, but after reviewing his career…the guy has only played 47 NHL games and he is 28 years old. Your point is a good one.
  21. This is not an excuse, but an observation that this team is still super young. There will continue to be improvement, but also situational growing pains (especially in moments like this against a multi Cup winning team).
  22. Same for us too (probably) 😬
  23. The story showed Tage’s path, but more importantly his work ethic, resiliency (life and hockey), and maturity. He would be in strong consideration for the captaincy role after Okposo…but the Sabres have a lot of deserving candidates. You love to see it.
