Adding Tage to PK1 would explain the reduction in 5 on 5 ice time. I don’t recall him doing much of that last year. I have to imagine meatballs sat Tage down and said, “you’re getting paid 7M no matter what, so I don’t care about your goal total.” I’m glad Tage bought in to varying his usage.

Annual expectations thread 2023/24: #24 Dylan Cozens
Porous Five Hole replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
Some of the team is going to regress from last year’s career high personal stats and Cozey is a likely one for this to happen. 38 points the season before to 68 points last season—with no pressure to produce. A lot is different and he’s still super young. I would love to have Cozey’s baseline to be 31G, 37A, 68 pts, but that’s probably closer to his ceiling than his floor with his toolset (at this point in his career). He has plenty of time and room to grow that ceiling tho! -
That would have been the ticket! At least my low brow attempt at humor was weirdly tied to the Sabres.

Well, how do you?

Jost, Krebs and the Bottom 6 Problem!

I’m not saying JJP has developed into some two-way stud, but he’s been much better in his own end this year (+1 after nine games on a team that is even in GF/GA). -
OT: College Sports Close-ish to Buffalo
Porous Five Hole replied to JoeSchmoe's topic in The Aud Club
Buff St, Fredonia, and Brockport are all a short drive and the seats are close enough to be overtaken by the hockey equipment smell. D3 hockey is very affordable and entertaining…but not the college experience that party goers might be looking for. Cuse basketball is always fun given the size of the outfit. It is worth the trip for pregame beers at faegens and the game at the dome. -
I’m one of those UPL nonbelievers who saw him come up short too many times in his tenure as a Rochester resident. The Sabres outscored their problems last year and I will rehash that UPL’s career NHL save percentage is .898. Can he get hot? Sure, he has proven he can string together a few starts of competent goaltending…just like almost any other goalie. I’m happy with the 2-0 start, but I don’t expect him to be reliable over a season. I hope I am wrong.

Well that’s confusing because he’s only played two games all year 🤔

VO’s camp said out loud that they expected a trade. No team wanted him at his salary. If there was ANY market for him, he would have been moved already.

Tough break for Rousek as he did not look out of place during his two game look last year.

By all means, please continue the UPL discussion with a new topic. This was about the fact that UPL got none of the first five starts. Things have obviously changed.

Well, injury insurance has paid off for now

A local hockey reporter told me he’s in FL and leisurely working in the horse racing industry. -
It’s because Benson isn’t producing.
