What I like about Greenway is he’s a pro. He’s a fully grown adult. He kills penalties well and he’s never intimidated. I don’t need him to fight or score. I need him to be a pro. I’m glad he’s on the team.

I agree. The Pens are your example of an older underperforming cap team. -

Sabres’ Refusal to “Salute” Fans Confirmed
Porous Five Hole replied to That Aud Smell's topic in The Aud Club
This has happened before elsewhere. Nov 2014 in Toronto: A day after neglecting to salute the crowd following a win on home ice, Toronto Maple Leafs players said the non-gesture was not intended as a shot at their fans. Some speculated that the players were angry with their fans, a small number of whom have thrown team merchandise onto the ice during losses this season, and a larger number of whom expressed their displeasure as the struggling team lost recent back-to-back games to Buffalo and Nashville by a combined score of 15-4. This by no means was an attack on our fans or anything personal,” Phaneuf said. “This was about our team and changing up our routine.” Forward James van Riemsdyk agreed. “We have great respect for our fans…this by no means was an attack on our fans or anything personal.” https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.2844931 Credit to the veteran Sabres player who at least was honest, I guess? Obligatory F the Leafs And then there is a look back on salute-gate three years later: https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/caught-toronto-maple-leafs-act-salute-gate/?sn-amp -

The fans dislike the team. The team dislikes the fans. Not winning anytime soon. Just a sad money pit. -

The bolded, I’m learning that’s not how it works. In this thread, I learned that “we” pay their salaries. So how dare they? I learned that the players are being woke snowflakes. That Kyle is a dipsh*t with an endgame to harm the team. And the players are effing idiots. It appears whatever was left of the rational fanbase has finally hit their breaking point. -

Whether you care about the salute or not this team seems to be in an awful place mentally. -
You’re correct that it doesn’t indicate 11/7, but don’t be surprised if it happens during Power’s absence. The Sabres are still protecting RoJo’s minutes and running Henri out there 24 minutes a night isn’t going to do anyone any good.

This smells like we are going back to 11/7

Power play looked better for a solid minute. Couldn’t cash tho. -
The prices of parts and labor for vehicle repairs is absurd. The posted labor rate at the West Herr in ROC is $150/hour. Add in a control arm at $545, another $180 on parts for oil gaskets (oil cooler gasket and upper & lower intake gaskets), an oil change, a tire rotation, a state inspection, an alignment, labor & tax…that is $1388. How do people afford this life?? Does everyone just make more money than me haha

A good win on the road for the good guys. Kozak with three points, Levi with 37 saves, and Neuchev scored too.

Now I’m dreaming up ways to make the empty net goal even more spectacular to hurt Morgan Reilly’s feelings. In all alone from the red line, how about a wrap around Michigan goal? That ought to get someone killed lol

Jiri Kulich Day to Day with a LBI for the Amerks
Porous Five Hole replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
From Kevin O (Amerks HOF beat reporter): From Appert’s explanation, part of the thought process obviously is about giving Kulich some time off. Since returning from the World Junior Championship in early January, he has gone 10 games without a goal, the longest stretch of his young career, and hasn’t been all that dangerous in many of those games. “Last year I think he played 110 games between summer World Junior, winter World Junior, our season, rookie camp, training camp, playoffs right to early June,” Appert said. “This year training camp, rookie camp, our season, World Junior. And then the set up for the All-Star Game, you’re set up to crush these guys.” https://pickinsplinters.com/2024/02/09/amerks-squander-early-lead-fall-to-crunch-in-ot/
