  1. Yeah, posting tóo much, but the national media in 2 countries were hyping big moves by Kevyn (It's Kevin, damn the "y") Listen, Adams may be a good guy, or a Smithers (at this point, I'm leaning towards the latter), but he was saying big moves, silently acknowledging to NHL media, no didn't happen. Cozens trade was a wash... The rest, meaningless, I thought the Lindy factor moving Cozens would move pieces. Not!. Was just curious if Adams spoke with palm trees in the background of Sunrise FL, and if Terry drove down from Boca and said, your going home on Spirit Air out of Lauuderdale (which in it's self is hell on earth, Damn you Spirit Airlines).
  2. What in the end is what I believe, the Sabres need to make a huge move, give fans a reason to support them. Not defending the organization, at this point who could, The Bills in the midst of a drought, sold us Mario Williams and Terrell Owens... Did it work on field, Nah. But at least it made things interesting. This team and organization seem to accept what they are, great you lost a generation of fans and paying for tickets today requires months of planning. No more $3.00 standing room only in the Aud.
  3. Fair enough, seeing Eichel among top scorers with only 20 goals tells me players evolve players can thrive outside their situation of their discomfort (sucks that Eichel is doing that, but good for him). Why do we judge Pettersen based on a place that he isn't happy and project that his top level, see Esposito Chicago vs. Boston.
  4. Fair statement but maybe he needs a teammate that can be a pissant. I was smaller and both in hockey and box lacrosse my coach (same coach in NF, ON) taught me to use my sticks to butt end them in nose, he said that creates space, but you better be aware that they remember. That was 50 years ago. Maybe Power needs a Rob Ray to get his dander up!
  5. The way the Sabres don't play to cap, with the increases we may need him to meet the floor. And that is a sad statement.
  6. Chara was traded twice, Hedman, was questioned. Dahlin was questioned. Hey I'm all 5'9", tallest person of the siblings, my sister clocks in at 2 out of 5. Bigger kids still growing need time.
  7. So said the fans of Isles and Sens as you... Remember we were dissing Dahlin just a half decade ago. Power is going to be good
  8. Sorry hit the dislike, I agree with you 100%
  9. No although the cost is high and could see Power is a price to pay, but he is still growing, his metrics are high. Byram and a kid a price to pay, maybe a pick also, but Power is a kid still, give him time, Remember the Sens and Isles gave up on Chara.
  10. Fair point, respect that, but what is your remedy of getting out of the drought?
  11. So by your reasoning, we will be a team of 23 players classified as JAG. Brilliant, but wait isn't that we have done sporadically for the last 14 years. Not mocking you, nor no aminosty, I'm just saying by now, you to take a swing, if it doesn't work, fine... We are use to that by now.
  12. And I did have make sure he did a 100 point season. Yeah that would have looked bad... Memory can fade🤣
  13. Then what do we need, A 'Legion of Doom' of the dead puck era? A 7 foot goalie outfitted with oversized equipment that out sizes the whole goal? Pettersen is seen as soft, point taken, but name me 100 players who have had a 100 point season since the post lockout of '03. Give me the early '80's Sabres, they sucked in the playoffs, but they played great games for the public. Apathy is prevalent.
  14. And don't forget we traded Peter McNab, he had a heck of career in Boston. Tage was stuck in STL, things changed for him. Just do something, things aren't working as is.
  15. I don't know but yes I'm going there, they need to do something, I never thought my Father's anniversary death date would coinside with the drought. These are suppose to be my salad days of watching my team in retirement. And I hate salad, just least try being bold...
  16. Players who were good sulked how did that work out for next team. Paging Mr. Lafontaine (NYI).. Mr. Hasek (CHI)... Mr. O'Reilly (from BUF to STL)... Mr. Montreau (from BUF to FLA). Don't include Sam, he actually said he would stay. Take a swing give us hope, hell it's been 14 years, if it doesn't work fine but at least there was that hope!
  17. Why? We are stashing so many #1's in Rochester. We will stash another high end kid this year in a "bad draft year". Send the first rounder in '26 a good draft year. Krebs or Bensen are never going to be 100 pointers. Too small, they get muscled out, (I appreciate their play though). Kulich is literally the only player prospect I'd keep now.
  18. Trade the prospects, send Byram and #1 in 2026, throw in Krebs or Benson. Don't wait for draft day deals.
  19. I hate when trade deadline disrupts my Friday Matlock marathon on Peacock.. A pox upon you Bettman.
  20. We are seeing a power shift, Lindy knows Buffalo and now he is going to push his moves, Adams is cooked. Thank you
  21. Hah... Ruff knew Cozens was soft, Lord knows it was Ruff sending the message through all his contacts in the NHL that kid wasn't his type of player, hence 4 months of rumors that Cozens was on the block. I like this, it's a Lindy move and a message. Bye Bye the "Workhorse from Whitehorse" (always hated that Dunleavy line).
  22. That whiley old Southern man won the case all is good in my TV world!
  23. It's true, about hiring the best. Knox was that. Maybe I do overlook Pegula's lack of being 'there'. All the memories of the Knox ownership when my parents had season tickets, my Uncle owning a section of the Reds was '81 when a snow storm hit during the game and the crowd implored Seymour to buy a beer. He didn't buy beers, but he kept the Aud open and paid for food. We got home but my cousin Sin was pregnant and they stayed. The owner was invested.
  24. Saw posts about Adams and replied, but felt this deserves it own topic. Kevyn (what the hell, it's Kevin). Just getting started and don't blame me for paragraphs, I grew up without computers. Mr. Adams is the antithesis of a Sabres GM. Going back to Punch our pedigree for a GM was making bold moves. Punch, (not Ingles), Bowman, Meehan, Muckler and Regier and Murray (Murray flamed but tried). They did the moves, sold the team to the players. Adams, no, blame others, he can't sell Buffalo as a team, a place or woo them with cash. Say what you want say about Pegula but if Adams can't convince that a move is good then why for love of Pete is he a GM. Adams got comfortable. That is a problem. Rant done, old Guy here is going to watch original Matlock..
