I've been saying this for the past 3-4 years. The Buffalo Sabres ARE THE WORST TEAM IN THE LEAGUE WHEN IT COMES TO CLEARING THE PUCK OUT OF THEIR OWN END!!!!! My god, how many games and goals has this cost us??

Now that Lindy has come onboard, he's evaluated the talent and has no doubt, "suggested" to KA what's needed to put the team over the top. I still think Goaltending is #1.

This team has NO scoring prowess! They also play lazy and with no sense of urgency. Name on player on the team that hits the ice at 100% and does not stop until he gets back to the bench.

Not Captain material, unfortunately. You need someone who is high-drive and passionate. Also someone that will work the bench and rile his teammates up.

I can't help but think that TP KNOWS that we need to make a big splash with at least one big name FA. He's been losing this fan base for years now. With the release of Skinner and the additional cap space that has been added, there really is no excuse not to go hard for a Stamkos. Yes, I get it. "NO ONE WANTS TO PLAY FOR BUFFALO". But KA needs to bust his arse here and get us a big fish. This franchise is on the brink of self destruction.

I'm sure it's because Lindy has yet to sink his teeth into the current lineup. Give him time.

I'm actually fine with this! A players coach who does not take any BS! He also knows how to not only win but gets the most out of his players. Now as others have stated, getting the right staff will be vital. I believe that with the talent assembled, this team is geared for an open, offensive game. We also need to pick the right Captain, or bring one in. Here are what I feel should be the main focus regarding Lindy's supporting cast of coaches: PP Specialist Faceoff Specialist PK Specialist CLEARING THE PUCK OUT OF YOUR OWN ZONE SPECIALIST!!

Like a fine wine (Or woman) he will only get better with age. Very positive upside and, with the right coaching...

Is the Leadership! No emotion on the bench or rarely behind it. I've said it before in other posts. At this level, you need to hit the ice like Conner McDavid! Going 100% from the moment your blades hit the ice until you hit the bench. Can you name or identify anyone who is taking on the identity of a leader? This is a crucial aspect of team sports, ESPECIALLY Ice Hockey! Why do you thing we suck so bad in 1st period play? I don't see that person in the lineup right now. Tuch & Dahlin are close, but I'd love a proven NHL player who has won a cup and has grit. What say ye?
