Yes, he did fight Clowe, but there is pressure for him to do so and he has rightly answered the bell. But you're merely referring to hit stats when you say he is "banging bodies". He has not been exceptionally physical as a checker. That aspect of his game is inflated by generous hit tabulators from the games I've watched. If you can't appreciate Hodgson's game then you're trying too hard to ignore him. They have both matured nicely this season and are valuable additions to their respective teams thus far.

Several Sabres fans have posted here that have season tickets in Raleigh, some even confessing to stowing their Canes jerseys away when the Sabres come to town--- I know a handful of fans of other teams in Northern VA that do the same for the Caps. I could not personally do this, but having sat in all corners of the FN Center over the years, it's obviously true. FWIW, I said "many", not "most". I was never implying that 10,000 tickets were closeted Leaf fans.

Many of those season ticket holders ARE Leafs fans.
