  1. “Hello Coach Carle, this Terry Pegula, owner of the Buffalo Sabres. ……the hockey team in Buffalo…..right. I’ ll pay you one million dollars to come to Buffalo and coach the team….yes the Sabres….no you don’t have to pick any assistant coaches, we’ve taken care of that for you…..they are very cost effective….I mean experienced…..our GM…..You will love him….its Keyvion Adams, he tries really hard…..he knows what it takes to win….well no we haven’t won much for, for , for the last 14 years…. OH We talk all the time …..about winning…..He has a lot of great ideas, just the other day he called starquist and suggested they feed the tuna mayonnaise. Hello ? Coach ? Kenyon , I think we were disconnected. “
  2. Pete Guelli claims to talk to Pegula every day as well, yet nothing changes in Sabreland. Talk is cheap, just like the Sabres. Apparently they just all sit around and talk, wish, hope and think. What they don’t do is change their failed approach. That would require hiring competent professionals to run their operation.
  3. Ah, Mr. Pegula now I see how you lifted the team in Montreal with your inspirational prose. Thank you. I feel better. You can continue your prideful mismanagement and calculated bugery of this once great franchise.
  4. The guys whose names are etched as part of three recent Stanley cup teams have done pretty well. Risto was on a bad team. Zadorov provided everything to his teams that we lack here in Buffalo—-nastiness and muscle. But we avoid those traits in players like wins in Sabre land.
  5. All our former players look better on other teams.
  6. This year’s poor outcome is on Lindy. There is no way around it. It was not an unrealistic expectation that this team make the playoffs this year. Lindy should have been able to reach such a low threshold even with the all soft ice cream team.
  7. I was just taking a shot at the Sabres. That said, what the hell do you or I know about his hockey IQ, unless we are his linemate or his coach? I mean really. He’s a kid and he’s in the nhl already. So the talent is there. Was it too much to ask him to be a top line center, on that we could agree. Chances are his game improve with time on a winning team, run by a viable hockey organization. Bet on it. There is ample evidence of this theory skating around the league, who once wore the blue and gold. Kevyin Adams just ruined another player that’s all. He’s the Alfred E. Neumann of NHL GM’s.
  8. He will be “all nhl “ in no time. After a while a guy will do anything to get out of this groundhog day movie that masquerades as an nhl franchise.
  9. Having to face the cameras while knowing in his heart, his vision is a failure, his theories bankrupt; he can only whisper as he walks by the graveyard.
  10. One would think Samulsson would at least fake being healthy, just so we could trade him to a better team. Not only is he worth a bag of pucks, he’s just as smart as said pucks.
  11. You are just making all of this up right? Kevyiln didn’t call you up and spill his guts about his pending incompetence in 2025-2026?
  12. Power would bring back more in a trade with his 5 on 5 scoring touch and big potential. On a good team he would be allowed to develop. His physical game will come but it’s going to take a few years. We in Buffalo have no patience for that from a guy who already got the bag. KA should have signed him to a bridge deal; even Dahlin was given one of those. If they could could convince Byram to stay, Mule is the one who should be moved. Bad contract. He is finally healthy. Out with you.
  13. The fault dear Claudius, lies not in ourselves but in the Sabres….. losing is not a good show, it’s not a worthwhile show. It steals from our soul the essence of being.
