I said I didn’t want to promote this topic any further, but you provided a thoughtful response, so I don’t want to ignore you. My sentence regarding him being Danny’s son was awkward. Agreed that a celebrity’s kid should get no breaks for that status. Hard stop, no exceptions. His behavior disgusts me. So we agree there. Totally disagree with it being harder to “jock” your way out is harder today. It might get more media coverage, but it’s still just as rampant imho. It’s just being caught on tape more. These guys wouldn’t give their public mea culpas if they hadn’t been taped. I think we would probably agree on it over beers. We can all be better. Public shaming sucks. I don’t want to be apart of a fan base that public shames. There’s plenty of other forums out there for that. Ones I don’t participate in. This is a hockey forum, not a public shaming town center forum. I think? Right? Another minor point is how many degrees of separation do we need for it to become relevant on here? Was there a thread celebrating his kids scholarship for college hockey. Probably not. And please understand, the kids actions disgust me. Period. No excuses. Cheers.

Well spoken young man. Infectious personality. The way he smiles and loves hockey, he reminds me of Krebs. Every time I see Krebs on the ice he’s smiling, even when he’s getting his lights punched out. I was a good kid at his age, graduated college, but this young man impresses me.

Well buckle up or get off because that’s where this trains headed. Let me look into the crystal ball, KA is not making a big move. Hope I’m wrong. I see playoffs next year, with a first round exit. Maybe two wins. Year after we start making waves but fall short. Hopefully after that our window opens. I’m not thrilled, but it’s a reality check based on KA’s tenure here. I do think there are moves to be made to improve our chances without selling out down the line. Like a big bad forward with a physical presence. Oh wait, that’s Greenway. Yeah it sucks.

Whoa!! Easy. I agree with you. Like 100%. Am I seeing a team on the cusp of playoffs. Absolutely not. Next year? They will need some major holes filled. If they are together when they are 25-29 years old with the right coach I think they might be pretty darn good. But my personal pet peeve is we need to get tougher in d zone.

Cant stop looking for abuse. As far as Greenway goes. I’m not impressed, he’s not physical enough, at least to my expectations. Wasn’t that why he was brought in? It wasn’t his scoring prowess. I hope the hell Meatballs doesn’t think he can turn him into one. He looks lost and moves a bit faster than a glacier. He also looks disinterested and quite frankly doesn’t look all that skilled. That being said I’m not ready to trade him for a bag of pucks. We have him for two years. I’m hopeful they will find a spot for him in the second half of the lineup. Develop him over the summer, gel with teammates on and off ice. Put the work in and get a sense of urgency. That’s on the coaches. Fingers crossed, Donnie has done a fine job with quite a few players. He fixes Greenway and I’ll be impressed. Fire away!

I grew up in Buffalo, 56 years old. So I was fortunate to see some fun years. My son watched games with me. He’s in his twenties, left NC and moved to Buffalo. He struggles to watch Sabres. He does, but it’s not like when we watch the Bills. I hope this team can get the fan base back. When it gets going, man it’s fun!

Totally agree. What’s that formula? Who knows. But I’m hoping that they go home, scream, kick, throw ***** around. Get it out of you , it’s toxic. Come back for these last few games when other teams ARE playing playoff hockey fighting for a spot while we aren’t. Learn from it, learn to be physically, see what great teams do. Try to match it, win some games. Be tougher for damn sure. Maybe it makes them feel better about themselves for throwing the season away for being so freaking soft in the end. Maybe it gives them a taste of it. Maybe that carries over or at least gives them a glimpse of what very good teams look like. Or we continue to suck for all eternity. Today sucked!!!!

I hear it. Maybe the season doesn’t carry over, but culture and expectations do. McDermott says the same thing, that’s why I don’t believe it😂. Coach speak. I’ve been fortunate to play sports on teams that had a winning culture and ones that didn’t. That ***** makes a world of difference. Full disclosure, not a pro team, and a different sport. But as an organization I think these last games matter.

This. Rebound, show some fight and grit, win a few games. Don’t give up, have some dignity. If we win half of these last games I think it will carry over to next year. Mail it in and man, I don’t even want to think about it. The Bruins this year, imho, are possibly a generational team.

No way, not even the most embarrassing moment against the Bruins. Lucic (sp) running Miller with no real response is the worst for me. I still haven’t recovered from that. When we punch these f@#keys in the face and dominate them, we will have exorcised that demon that haunts us. Whoah, got that off my chest, thanks. I think.

That getting your ass kicked sucks? I don’t ever want that again and I’m gonna work my ass off so it never happens again? Will they take that approach? Who knows? Why are we still watching? 🧐

I’m with ya man. Just had major back surgery Monday. I’m extremely limited. A bit down. I’m like come on Sabres just give me a win please. Washington was crushing. When our teams do well, seems like the world’s a better place, at least for me.But man, someday before I die we will a damn championship. But yeah, I’m the delusional optimistic guy that believes one day……..
