Taylor Hall sitting -- possible trade incoming
WhenWillItEnd66 replied to Sabre fan's topic in The Aud Club
If we cannot get a 1st, then it needs to be a player that fills a need or prospect that is ready to play now. -
Totally Agree to this..... unless we are going to get a FAIR return, we are not a charity to help other teams for minimal cost. We keep who we have and play out the year and let the pieces fall where they may. I think we all believe that this team is better then their record shows and now that they are playing like they should have been all along i think we will see what we really have.

I think we extend him 3 years at 5-6 Mil per. He is a much better player then what we are seeing. -
The difference between losing streak Sabres & non IS Ullmark
WhenWillItEnd66 replied to Taro T's topic in The Aud Club
Yes, and no.... the team in front of him is playing a ton different under Granato. He deserves some credit. Better minder helps and i like Linus, but this is a team improvement mostly and it shows. -
I think Tage and Mitts are benefitting from the current state of the Sabres. Both are playing better then in the past. Both have always had the skills to be in the NHL, but the head and body needed to get there. Do not think they are top 6 or borderline at best, but they are looking a lot better. Their strengths (Their shots mostly) have never changed. Just getting into their heads where to go to take them needs to get better. Both in my eyes are showing they can belong in the NHL but lets see them do it for 82 games.

GDT: 4/3/21 Rangers @ Sabres. 7:00 pm est. MSG, WGR550

I think what is really helping the team is who is behind the bench. They are smart enough to realize that you cannot fit a square peg into a round hole. From coach to assistants, they are all hard working NHLers that are going to expect that from the players. They are also utilizing each of the individual players strengths. We are seeing Tage and Mitts seriously benefit from this.... on a side not I got my Roswell park helmet on Sat..... TY #72!! Wife was hoping for Montour, but happy with Tage. -
Interesting fun game to watch! I cannot recall how many good rushes that we had last night in the the total last year. Nice to see our defenseman joining the rush again too. The last 3 games are showing what we are capable of. We still get caught in our own end a bit too much and need to be harder on the boards, but it looks like current staff is pushing the correct buttons. RK made the old timer mistake of my way of the highway and got shown the highway cause he was too stubborn to play the hand he was dealt. Still believe we need to get more physical and get some players that "Play" big.

I am thinking tonight is the the night we get off the streak. They are playing better and eventually that will turn into a win. The guys seem to be absorbing what Granato is dishing out. Now he just need to be dishing out 60 minutes instead of 40. Still not sure if i am going to watch as it is so damn frustrating being a die hard fan for this team..... But being in NJ it is not a Rags, Devils or Isles broadcast so an improvement.

Hope this kid does not turn into "Glass Joe"

GDT: Flyers at Sabres 3-29-21. 7PM start

This team is European easy to play against. (just basing that off of style of play) Put pressure on them and check them tight and they fold. They cannot clear or protect the front of their net, nor can they stay in front of the opponents net. We have bigger guys that cannot hit or stay on the puck. -
Bring them back as our 3rds. Love the royal blue and gold! So happy thats back! 2nd fave is the Goats.
-
I do not think this is 100% true. Although a 20 game non winning streak and a 10 year playoff absence does not make us a prime destination. We would most likely need to pay more for the top guys, but we are great destination for those with something to still prove.

As long as we draft a power defenseman, and or a power forward, I will be happy! No more puck movers, but a body mover and hitter with skill. No more players that are weak on the puck!

Ok.... let me rephrase.... We need big that cannot be pushed off the puck and can actually clear the front of our own net and can STAY in front of their net. We do not need a team of Pyatts -

This team need to get a bit bigger, and break away from the stupid European model that they tried to build. We need an actual power forward and defenseman that will not be pushed off the puck. Another forward that teams will have to keep an eye on or get smashed would help too that is not afraid of the front of the net. We are built the wrong way with some skilled players. We will see better now that we are opening up our game but will still suffer for being smaller and non physical and easily pushed around. -

Sabres closing in on all time NHL record for consecutive losses
WhenWillItEnd66 replied to matter2003's topic in The Aud Club
I have been a fan since day one. I have never ever seen such ineptness in our organization as we have now. This team will embarrassingly shatter the loss record. -
This team needs a serious ass kicking as well as a new coach. RK's system is not built for the team that he currently has. A defensive system with offensive players limits goals. I do believe this team has about the worse puck luck that i have ever ever seen by a team, but there are other problems. No grit, we are easy to be taken off the puck, and cannot get separation. If our team is pressured, they fold like a house of cards.
