I remember Samson to be a lot like you described Tuch. Drive byes but not standing their ground hence putting Risto in front on ppps. Nothing against Sam put he didn’t have the strength or bulk to hold his own.

As the center goes, so goes Skinner. When Jack (was) and Tage (is) a threat, so is Skinner. His D and checking game took major steps forward but have regressed since that “top” line has taken giant steps backward. With Ralph I think he was judge-mental of the coaching - no idea other than discouragement what’s going on the last month or so.

I get radio blackouts for Sabre games so I stream the opposing team when I’m in my truck. You might enjoy that. Most opposing teams I’ve found to be quite objective and insightful.

I don’t think we have the physical strength to go and STAY in front of the net against many teams. Meaning we can’t sustain chaos in front of the goalie. Watching the Blues game their D men were easily able to clear Sabres from the front.

Girgs going to a contender would give me a team to pull for and make the playoffs meaningful.

Dallas game was entertaining. This game is anything but. Looks like boys against men, again.

There’s no sample size of VO playing for a better team. We’ve had a number of players leave and improve their play under different systems. I’m thinking the league looks at him and sees a cannon shot and weak points they can improve. A third line with a couple of strong forwards who play D would be worth a shot.

Chance of playoffs are nil. Put Olofsson in and boost his trade value as it’s obvious we aren’t keeping him.

On average (for both teams) better hockey than last night. /s
