It really not that big of a deal, but keep in mind that this is a relatively common strategy for these rumors sites. Take a small bit of reputable information, make a logical leap from there, and report that speculation as if they're in the know without actually having additional information.

I believe the average time before return with a concussion is somewhere in the 16 day range in the NFL. So this obviously puts his status for next week in doubt. Not what you want to see at all, but wow that would be a game changer.

People forget that a coach can be demanding and hold people accountable while still being empathetic and someone players trust. It isn't one or the other.

Just the fact that you can make a convincing argument for having Skinner outside th top six shows how much more talented this lineup is than we've seen in years. Regardless of if that's where we'd put him, we should all be excited about that. Can't wait for hockey.

Yeah, that's where I disagree with the lines as they're constructed today. I don't really care which one we want to call 3 and which we want to call 4, but I think a defined offensive line and defined defensive line is preferable to the hodgepodge we have now.

I forget where I read that, but I believe the quote was that Botterill doesn't really believe in major long-term deals. I forget if Skinner was specifically mentioned, but it can be assumed that either ownership trumped him on that contract or that Skinner's agent really pulled Botterill outside of his principles.

That's the nuclear option. You do everything possible to make it work before going near that. And if you're at the point where you would go that route, his contract's value would be so negative that no team in the league including Seattle would want to be in the same room as him.
