  1. A couple thoughts: 1) the more you watch Komarov the more you see there is something really there. He directs traffic while defending the rush and in the defensive zone. Uses his anticipation and stick to break up many rushes and chances. He thinks the game as a complete dman. 2) Savoie is playing a much more complete game. He is playing centre and his defensive positioning and awareness are very noticeable. He doesn’t cheat for offence. Very good brain for the game. I compare him against Firkus who I question his brain when he has to think with the puck on his stick. Great talent but much like Cozens, Firkus struggles when he has to think and be a playmaker. 3) I agree that outside of Levi and Johnson, no other Amerks should be pencilled in to the Sabres lineup but for those watching one game and making decisions on prospects might want to expand the sample size. 4) whether it be pick 11 or any of the prospects, everything should be on the table for acquiring the right pieces to put this team into a playoff contender.
  2. I doubt Tavares and Marner waive for any move.
  3. And he has earned it with his work so far in his second tenure😜
  4. There are rumors that Mark Hunter will be named GM of Columbus. Basil McCrae is in the front office in Columbus and he owns part of the London Knights with the Hunters. To this day I say the biggest mistake the Leafs made was picking Dubas over Mark Hunter as GM.
  5. Can we atleast spell his name correctly
  6. London spanking Oshawa 4-0 Dickinson is a hell of a dman. Senneke is hurt and not playing for Oshawa. Leafs pick Easton Cowan is a great little player. 4 points tonight. No one finds more hockey players than the Hunter brothers. They are machines in London. Drummondville winning 4-0. Komarov is full value. He does all the little things well that you want in a complete dman. If he continues to work on his skating the Sabres might really have something there. Memorial Cup champ, Q dman of the year this season playing in the Q final to go back to the Memorial Cup. Baie Comeau have a small guy name Poirer up for the draft who is a great scorer.
  7. Offseason pics should be limited to underground fight clubs or street fights😛
  8. Cough Ville Leino cough😄
  9. That’s actually impressive for Dreger.
  10. If they keep the pick and if Catton falls man that would be a nice get. Electric offensive player. Iginla rising might drop Catton.
  11. Yes, everyone can say we took the BPA but if your scouts stink than it really doesn’t matter.
  12. Frankly BPA is a myth. Unless you are talking about the first pick in the draft than BPA is just who each individual team deems is the BPA in their view. It is based on team’s individual preferences. If Cayden Lindstrom and Berkley Catton are both available I guarantee NHL teams will have different assessment of who the better player is. Sam Dickinson and Zane Parekth, different teams will have them ranked differently as well. It’s just a pet peeve but I know it will be the BPA that the Sabres scouts have ranked on their board.
  13. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/nhl-top-16-mock-draft-who-will-go-after-macklin-celebrini/ Another “interesting” mock draft
  14. Savoie’s point streak finally ends but he played well. He played centre and was good at the dot and was very good positionally in his own end. Used his body to force a couple turnovers too. Savoie out west and Komarov in the Q are in championship series with the winner going to the Memorial Cup in Saginaw. London play Oshawa to see the second team from the O to advance to the Memorial Cup
  15. @CapFriendly · 8m The #GoSensGo have 24 hours to decide if they will forfeit their 2024 1st round pick or push the decision to either 2025 or 2026, due to the invalid Evgenii Dadonov trade.
  16. Would rather just sign DeMelo for free
  17. I think the most interesting prospect will be Lindstrom in as far as when he is picked. His injury has really made him a wildcard. He has the overall package team really want but there are a lot of other interesting prospects at the top of the draft. I could see him being picked 3oa and I can see him available at 11.
  18. 11th, Krebs and Joker for Cirelli and Cernak😜 Gives TB a top pick since they have none in the top 4 rounds and cheaper options with their cap troubles. Gives Sabres two pieces they desperately need.
  19. I’d love to see a Novikov-Komarov pairing in Rochester next season.
  20. In this hypothetical I wonder if Ottawa would be interested in Peterka to pair with Stutzle. Peterka, Östlund or Savoie or Kulich, 1st for Brady

  22. JJ Tage Tuch Benson Cozens Quinn (if Cozens can’t get going with two wingers like Benson and Quinn then cut bait with the guy) find a way to get out from Skinner. the fourth line should be a physical defensive line. The third line is the key for me. I think they need some offence on that line as well as physicality. If they can have 3 scoring lines and a shutdown physical 4th line that is how Lindy had success before. I don’t know if anyone on the team right now is a fit for that third line. If they can target a team with cap issues and see if you can pry a Karlsson or Cirelli or Lundell via trade or look at a Stephenson or Monahan in ufa to anchor that line. Then find another winger that has some size, physicality and can score and see if one of Savoie, Kulich or Rosen can play the other wing. I think Greenway can be an effective 4th liner. They need a really strong faceoff guy to anchor the 4th line. Then round it out with a guy that flies all around the ice and loves to get physical in the forecheck. A Carrier type. I think in a couple years that Östlund and Wahlberg will be good 3rd liners for them but it is about winning right now.
  23. It’s amazing in this 13 year run that the Sabres have never moved up once in all these lotteries.
  24. Here is Adams answer on WGR: On the draft lottery - Barring a surprise lottery victory the 11th pick is absolutely on the table as a trade piece. Knows how valuable it is and how it can help the team get better now. The goal before was to build up the pipeline but their commitment to that in the past gives them added flexibility this year.
