Chicago had Bédard and nothing else. We can piss on Buffalo all we want but there is enough talent on this roster to be playoff contenders with a couple moves. The problem is the front office either won’t or can’t make the moves to help the team get better. Im not defending that it is a great roster but it isn’t even close to the worst plus the Amerks are first OA in the AHL with a ton of kids playing well. There are pieces here the front office has failed to put them together into a competent team.

Leenders was OHL goalie of the month: “Goaltender of the Month – Ryerson Leenders (Brantford Bulldogs) Buffalo Sabres prospect Ryerson Leenders of the Brantford Bulldogs has been named the OHL Goaltender of the Month for February, posting an impressive .921 save percentage. Leenders went 9-1-1-0 during the month, making 352 saves and recording four performances with 35+ saves. His standout moment came on February 14, when he made 43 saves in a 10-1 victory over the Niagara IceDogs. Leenders’ strong play was pivotal in keeping the Bulldogs at the top of the Eastern Conference standings, securing their spot in the 2025 OHL Playoffs. I think this is a little ridiculous. I would trade our ownership and GM for any other in the league right now though.

The assistant coaches are still employed because they have existing contracts and firing them would mean spending more money on new coaches. But remember: no financial constraints

I know. I’m just saying breakdowns happen every shift in hockey. Most are overlooked because the goalie makes the save to bail the play out.

He left out the part where Reimer let in a muffin to end the game instead of making the routine save which would have cancelled everything else out.😛

I don’t think they will. I think teams are calling so they are listening but they are setting the price so high that other teams will move on to different players.

IF Adams stays how does he even spin this disaster? He stood up last offseason and said it was playoffs or bust this season, time to compete. Imagine if they bring the exact same coaching staff back again because he can’t fire anyone and bring on more $$$. What a clusterf&@k of an organization. Reimer has played pretty well for them this season. Tonight was on him though. They needed a couple saves there that he did not give them. That goal by Tage, just wow. That shot is unstoppable when he gets it off like that.

But you would have to make the decision to postpone it. I have no confidence that Pegula wants to make that decision and can Adams.

The only way I accept another rebuild is if it is a new ownership group with a new FO with seasoned NHL Execs with a history of success in charge.

I mean if they trade Tuch for a first round pick or young prospect what the hell are we doing? The only way I want Tuch moved is if the return causes everyone to say “I can’t believe we got that”

I mean there is absolutely no reason for Adams to keep his job. None. The decision on him will tell us everything we need to know. If Adams is fired I think there might be some hope depending on the hire. But if Adams is retained then Pegula has absolutely no desire to turn this around or to compete. I would love to know where Ventura and this lauded Analytics group fit into all this because either they are being completely ignored or they are vastly overrated. They are desperate for a veteran NHL exec. Let’s just hope Pegula finally has the appetite for it.

Members of the fanbase would turn on him quickly. He doesn’t run people through the boards every shift. He doesn’t punch people in the face every game. I wouldn’t be upset with the pick but people who think he is Tom Wilson 2.0 or a Tkachuk will need to temper their expectations

I think if people think Martone is Tkachuk they will be very disappointed
