I read that the Jets asking price for McGroarty was a 2nd and 3rd. Wonder if Sabres are looking at that with the extra 2nd. I think they are probably looking at using the 1st in a deal and like some have said, using the 2nd to move Skinner if a deal lines up that Skinner agrees to waive for. That would still leave them with a 2nd to use in the draft.

I agree. Necas is a talented player but I don’t think the fit is great for what they are hoping for ( a productive player that plays hard for 200 feet.)

If Ruff isn’t putting up with Skinner in Buffalo what makes people think Berube will put up with him in Toronto?

Losing Marner would really hurt the Leafs. He makes them go. He gets crapped on for the playoff failures but he is a regular season superstar. He is the playmaker that makes Matthews go. If he is gone I think Matthews production tails off. Skinner would do nothing to help that. And Marner PKs where Skinner is allergic to his own end.
