  1. Lance is their mouthpiece Anything they want out there goes through Lance
  2. So the guy on hockeybuzz that has been right on things says they are in on Zegras and named Wahlberg as a piece too. Who knows but something maybe up. Much like Marner makes Matthews go with his playmaking I think Zegras can do that for Tage or Cozens. I think he helps the PP big time too. Zegras hasn’t had much to play with in Anaheim I think he would thrive with some of the offensive talent in Buffalo. I think it’s time to make a move like this and go for it. This would put them in playoff contention. I would go: Zegras Tage Tuch JJ Cozens Quinn but JJ Tage Tuch Zegras Cozens Quinn would be exciting too.
  3. I would rather give up Kulich than Wahlberg. Wahlberg has the size skill combo that is rare and needed on this team. He is the guy Verbeek would target though. Anaheim have to make some moves to get to the floor. They need to take back salary. Greenway would probably go the other way. As people have mentioned, Zegras would be a great playmaker for Tage/Cozens and would really help the PP. He can also shift to the middle if injuries arise.
  4. People haven’t seen Malenstyn and don’t understand his game. I bet he becomes a huge fan favourite once people understand his role and see what he can do.
  5. You know who is good at zone entries…McLeod.
  6. Vatrano is an interesting option. One year left, had a huge year in Anaheim, can score, plays hard.
  7. Is McLeod KA’s Jochen Hecht trade?
  8. Can we add Tullio to the thread title? Kid is a smart hockey player who will help the Amerks this season.
  9. Maybe a bit controversial but after this season I think the rankings look like: 1) Helenius 2) Wahlberg 3) Kulich 4) Östlund 5) Rosen 6) Novikov 7) Komarov
  10. Yea his brother is one of the 2018 WJCs players up on charges. Who knows where that goes.
  11. I saw a stat that the Sabres played very slow last year based on metrics. This is very big for them.
  12. It is but Cirelli has been a 40-45 point 2C for them . I can see McLeod making that jump as 3C if teamed with Benson. McLeod is good defensively and on the PK.
  13. McLeod MIGHT be Cirelli good this season.
  14. Helenius made Savoie expendable. The Sabres have added a ton of speed up front this offseason. Does Tullio go to the Amerks? Tullio’s dad owns the Oshawa Generals and a minority piece of the Sens. Tullio played for the Gens and was a good player. He will be a good AHL player at the least. Not a big guy.
  15. Totally out of left field and I really like it. Half the time I watched the Oilers play I would think McLeod was McDavid on the ice. He is that fast. Age fits timeline too. Great 3C. Size, great wheels, good defensively, can chip in offensively. Still think another move is coming. Where does Krebs fit in? Maybe an Ehlers deal is coming.
  16. The game slow downs as players get older and get used to the pace. They also learn what they are capable of and learn what type of plays they need to make to stay in the league so they simplify things.
  17. Who has said other teams have issue with our prospect pool?
  18. He transferred there but the whole coaching staff left so he is looking for a new school Richard is a 3v3 non contact superstar. If he could ever improve his wheels he has a future. Any word on why Leenders didn’t play net
  19. I’m pretty confident the Sabres draft next year will be better than the 1990 Oilers draft. This story is unbelievable. The Oilers drafted 11 players and not one of them played a single game in the NHL.😳 https://thehockeywriters.com/edmonton-oilers-1990-draft-revisited/
  20. Marco Rossi might be your Derek Roy. Savoie might be your Derek Roy. Rossi is ready now. Savoie could be ready.
  21. Neuchev is such a talented kid and he competes. Would love to see him pop in Rochester this season
  22. I think Lundell and Cirelli are good comps as the type of centre he will become. Not the flashy, sexy player but the centre you are dying to have in your middle six. If his offence pops then you have a special talent but I see him as a lynchpin middle 6 centre as early as 25-26
  23. I’ll judge come October if we are better. Ruff is the coach. They have added grit in the bottom 6. They punted Skinner which is a message to the locker room about the expectations. The goaltending should be better with UPL, Levi and Reimer. A deal still needs to be made for an impact forward. If they make that move I think they will be a much better team but if not I’m not sure where this team is. WC Cozens showing up would be huge as well as a healthy Quinn and relatively healthy Muel would also go a long way.
