  1. Bussi is there other goalie
  2. JJ Tage Tuch Benson Cozens Quinn Greenway McLeod Zucker Malestyn Lafferty NAK Krebs I like this forward lineup for what Lindy is trying to do. The production of the 2nd line will be the biggest factor this season outside of key injuries. The goaltending should be solid night in and night out. The D corps ability to defend will be a big key to success this season and a big part of that will be Muel staying healthy.
  3. Kincaid, Torrence, Dorian Williams was a very nice 3 rounds
  4. It’s Toronto they charge even more for preseason games. 😜 And Leafs are losing 1-0 and being outshot 17-2
  5. Another situation like this game tonight. Leafs are playing their NHL lineup while the Sens are bringing their AHL team. Frustrating part of preseason is the difference in quality of lineups.
  6. I’m not thrilled with it either. I think Byram- Dahlin or Power- Dahlin will be the ultimate pairing when Dahlin is back. Power Dahlin Byram Joker Muel Clifton Lindy has always liked his shutdown pair and Muel Clifton will probably be that. Joker needs to step up or they need to find a strong defensive minded RD for the second pairing.
  7. So McLeod Greenway and Zucker up front and Dahlin and Gilbert on the back end were the players that didn’t play that will be in the lineup this year. I don’t see Kulich or Rousek cracking the lineup outside the Czech trip. Kulich and Rosen will get call up time during the season. I see Krebs as the extra forward and Bryson and Gilbert as 7th and 8th dman. Inthought Bryson picked up tonight where he left off last year looking smart and fast with the puck on his stick.
  8. JJ Tage Tuch Benson Cozens Quinn Zucker McLeod Greenway Malestyn Lafferty NAK Krebs Dahlin Joker Byram Power Muel Clifton Bryson Gilbert UPL Reimer with Levi going back and forth and playing both NHL and AHL games is my best bet to start the season until injuries hit.
  9. I felt the roof and scoreboard really was the difference tonight.😝
  10. Benson’s brilliance is where he positions his stick. He knocked 4’pucks and passes down in one shift just by body and stick position.
  11. Can’t gleam too much off a game like tonight but the Sabres did what they needed to do. I was so impressed with the new 4th line tonight. So much speed and physicality. And they can play they are not slugs. McLeod adds a lot of the same so it really will be a new look in the bottom 6 this season. Quinn and Benson are going to be so much fun together this season.
  12. Pens win 3-2 and this board goes into a 5 Alarm Blaze that cannot be put out😜🤣
  13. I think a really good comparison for Benson is ROR. Both guys made the NHL at 18. If you look at them they don’t check many of the sexy boxes: Excellent size, Excellent speed, Excellent shot, crazy puck skills. But their hockey IQ and understanding of the game all over the ice makes them impactful, special players. ROR is bigger and plays centre but I see Benson being a similar player from the wing in his prime. He is the “coach’s dream” type player that does everything you would hope a player does without having to tell him or motivate him to do it. Even if he is struggling offensively Benson can still impact the team positively in other areas while he works through a slump. The anti VO if you will😃
  14. Ruff said he doesn’t think he has even talked to Benson yet at camp because he does everything correctly the first time.
  15. I don’t care if they brought in 1977 Scotty Bowman. After 13 years without the playoffs it’s “show me” time across the board.
  16. Well he is tearing the Pats apart. NE look awful
  17. Levi said “Give me the Don Edwards-Bob Sauve drip”😜
  18. The one Sabres prospect that perplexes me is Kisakov. The kid has skill but he doesn’t seem to be able it to any type of game scenario success. Neuchev has transitioned his skill into game success but Kisakov just hasn’t taken a step. Hopefully he takes a step this season.
  19. Houser always starts in the ECHL and ends up in Rochester when injuries happen
  20. I’m very interested to see what the plan in net is. UPL is the starter but are they keeping Reimer up and running Levi back and forth all season. I can’t see keeping 3 goalies up again as a viable option.
  21. I’m interested to see Krebs under Ruff. He either breaks out this season or they move him when Helenuis is ready.
  22. I wasn’t saying we don’t have players with tenacity. The Sabres prospect pool could use a few prospects up front with a size-tenacity combination.
  23. Peca could be used in any situation. Up a goal down a goal, defensive zone faceoff, offensive face off. PP, PK, smart hockey player. Helenuis is similar. He won’t run a guy over in open ice like Peca but he is a centre you can use in every situation. That’s the comparison I was making.
