Shakir and Cook just make positive yards when it looks like there is nothing there. Hell of a game by Coleman today. Kid looks like he is going to become a big time player. Cook, Davis and Johnson in the backfield, Kincaid and Knox at TE, Shakir, Cooper, Coleman at WR and Allen with his legs. So many options that Defences have to try and shutdown.

Really impressed with Greenway’s play. McLeod as well. Bryam and Krebs seem a lot more confident right now. Regardless of results, Lindy has them playing hard, especially at home. It’s good to see. Keep it rolling. Getting Benson and NAK back will be big. IDK who sits, Kulich and Quinn? Lafferty. Nice to have some NHL quality depth. Cozens is still a mess. That icing right at the red line is inexcusable. One step and he was over centre.

Detroit are 4-3 and have won their last 2 games while being outshot by ridiculous margins. I like Buffalo’s roster better than both teams but it’s a matter of executing with consistency. Beating Detroit Saturday would be a big start.

This is a season where other teams are faltering around the Sabres. If they can put it together and somehow start getting some PP production then they can give themselves a shot.

The Rosen hate by some is fascinating. When you actually take the time to watch him play you see a very interesting player. Tremendous wheels, rocket of a shot, good sense and playmaking, works hard defensively. And he has produced as a young player in the AHL.

Cozens doesn’t have the hockey IQ to be a high end #2 centre. When he has to handle the puck and make decisions it doesn’t go well. Let him go up and down the wing and use his speed to create chances off the rush. I would try letting Krebs or McLeod centre him for a while and see the results. I think Helenius slots into the number 2 centre spot long term but that is a couple years away.

Coleman is going to be just fine.

Diggs going to Diggs Once Cooper gets even more comfortable I would say this could be the most weapons Allen has ever had. Cooper, Shakir, Coleman, Kincaid, Knox, Cook, Davis. Ty Johnson has impressed. Hollins is big in the block game. Samuel is the one guy that hasn’t really clicked yet.

To me the biggest issue is that they haven’t had a higher end playmaker with elite hockey IQ to run the PP through. Tage and Cozens are not thinkers. They will throw the puck away more than they will make a smart play. Benson might become that guy over time. I have hope for Östlund but he is a few years away.

I never said I was quitting, but for my mental health I’m not following this team this season with any effort because they haven’t earned that from me. I have been a fan since 1980, through ups and many downs. I just cant muster the strength to sit through this crap again. 14 years with no playoffs is beyond the limit that a fanbase should have to sit through. The GM says there are no restrictions on spending yet they sit there with millions in cap space and hired a coach and refused to let him bring in a single guy of his own. They are not serious about winning and after 13 years without the playoffs that is absolutely unacceptable. I mean if this keeps going they may be playing in front of four thousand people after Christmas. It’s not 1-4-1, it’s the same game we have seen from the same team for years.

I mean how many times can we go through this? I haven’t been able to bring myself to watch a game this season. I just read the results and I have no emotional reaction anymore. If this season goes the way it is starting then I honestly have no idea what this franchise does. It will have lost all goodwill with the fanbase. The only way I see things changing is removing the common denominator the past 14 years, Pegula. Then you are looking at starting over again. All the young players and draft picks in the world mean nothing if you can’t build a team properly. If Pegula cans Adams who does he bring in if he doesn’t trust NHL people? But the Sabres need all that cap space to sign players in the future while none of those teams apparently have any players to sign so they can spend all their money now.😜 It is either Pegula telling Adams he can’t spend to the cap and Adams lying to the media and fans about it or Adams is just incompetent at managing a Cap. I strongly believe it’s Pegula. Bringing in Ruff and keeping all the other coaches should be a tip off to that.
