Power was the right pick at the time of the draft. Putting him with a seasoned vet RHD from day 1 to help him develop is what a component organization does. The GM just admitted Friday that he needs to find a partner for Power🤯

I think McLeod might be my favorite Sabre right now. He does all the little things right and is such an effortless skater

He played wing a lot last year as a 16 year old but went back to centre this season and has exploded. He is a centre but any centre can be moved to wing. I see him as an explosive offensive centre.

He’s a centre. He is a dual threat but his shot is his strength along with his skating.

To get Marner you are looking at $13+ million. He is a UFA and will be the top UFA if he goes to market. He has elite hockey sense. He makes Matthews go. I’d staple him to Tage and watch Tage explode. He is great defensively and on the PK. He would consider Buffalo for the geography he would not consider them for the giant dumpster fire the organization is.

Imagine being the GM of a team that hasn’t made the playoffs in 14 straight years. You have been at the helm for the past 5 years. You were hired from running the arena at the hotel next door with no prior NHL front office e experience. You have fumbled the past 4 years. This year you are bound to make a difference. You bring in your coach without doing a search. You stand in front of the media and proclaim, “No more excuses! This season it is playoffs or bust. I have built a team that will make the playoffs!” Fast forward to March and you are dead last in the conference, your team has more holes than a strainer, there is no compete or hope, the media is tearing the franchise apart on tv and all you have mustered is an angry tirade about palm trees. You will be picking at the top of the draft again. And yet you are probably not worried about job security because you have the stupidest owner who has ever walked God’s green Earth overseeing the franchise. This is an absolutely embarrassing, pathetic situation that Pegula has put this franchise in. These is no hope as long as this absolute clown continues to own this team

Adams never will because he knows he’ll never get another NHL job again. He might not even get the rink manager job back. If Terry keeps Adams then his plan is to wait for the lease to run out and sell the team somewhere. No competent person would keep Adams around. Pegula doesn’t want to spend $$$ but his incompetence has cost him 14 years of playoff money

Go back to when he was hired. He basically told everyone he isn’t qualified and asks everyone questions and writes in his book because he knows nothing about being a GM. What gets me is his go to “I’m from Buffalo no one is more qualified to talk about the team and city and fans then me” He has continually built a team that flies in the face over everything the city and fanbase embraces.

Let’s put a name to the big vet RHD. Let’s say Colton Parayko. He checks all the boxes people want. Does trading a top 4 pick for Parayko help the franchise more than a Schaefer, Misa, Hagens or Martone? No the value short term and long term does not equate. Now if the first round pick was 15-25th sure I would throw that in for Colton with a couple other pieces. And one guy coming in doesn’t fix anything here. There is a bigger issue. This team doesn’t listen to the coaches and they don’t compete hard enough. They don’t stick up for each other. The mix is bad. I see a Captain that competes like crazy and no one else that matches him. One or two small adds will do nothing. This team needs an overhaul.

It wasn’t about yesterday in particular. Just years of incompetence piling up. His biggest point is the lack of compete top to bottom and they did nothing yesterday to address it as a team.

LOL he’s not really gone just like the rest of us. It’s the first time he’s ever mentioned it though which shocked me. Terry needs to realize how dire this situation is unless as some others have mentioned the real plan is to sell when the lease is up. Sounds crazy but what else would explain this level of incompetence for this long a period. Adams isn’t the answer. This summer might be the biggest in a long long time. If the status quo is kept then I don’t see much hope moving forward.

Personally I would say Levi is their number 1 prospect because of the importance of the position and him excelling. I would say Östlund is second. But Helenuis is 2 years younger and playing in the AHL too. Both are on a good track right now

Leading up to the deadline all the talking heads said if Marchand moved it would have to be for a huge haul. The guy was the face and heart of the Bruins and wanted to end his career only playing for the Bruins. They gave him away at the last minute to a division rival. Insane. It will do a lot of damage in that Bruins room.

He didn’t do anything stupid but a lot will depend on Norris’ health. Zucker worked out well, McLeod turned out well and I hope Norris works out in the same vein. The D corps and the goaltending need to be the next focus.

Deep down Adams knows he owes everything to Terry because no other organization would let him near their front office. He always goes out of his was to thank Terry or kiss his ass. The reality is he is 5 years in and has no idea what he’s doing. There is no plan to improve the team. Look back at last offseason. The 4th line and Lindy as coach with no assistant coach moves and thought that was good enough to push this team to the playoffs.

Marchand is injured. I don’t get giving up Gilbert. He wasn’t good but he atleast brought something that no one else on the roster did.

How F%#£ing stupid are the players? Still teaching them how to play in March😂. I coached competitive rep hockey and our system was in place in 2 weeks and everyone knew how we played. What a crock of 💩 😂😂😂 That’s like being a school teacher and saying “The kids are still trying to find where their seats are” in March.
