  1. You are right that Kulich is a top two line center in the making. That’s why I wouldn’t deal him. Aren’t you tired of being a farm team for other teams? If he were in an early stage of development, I would be receptive to trading him for a return that was immediate help. But based on what I saw last year he is ready to contribute right now as a second line player.
  2. Peterka is already a top 6 forward with plenty more upside. So why give him up? To see him thrive somewhere else and see his name etched on the SC for another team?
  3. I’m not saying that JJP won’t be a better player than Zucker. But as a player he will never be as rugged a player as Zucher is. Just simply two different styles of play.
  4. Would you be so confident in the bet if it was for July 6, 2027?
  5. The teacher’s insensitivity wasn’t too damaging to me because I was voted the class president and gave a short speech on stage to the audience at the graduation ceremony. It ended well.
  6. I want to keep JJP and have often stated so. But from a stylistic standpoint they are very different. Zucker plays a more rugged and physical game. Zucker is also a much more responsible two-way player than JJP. He is also arguably our best player at the net. JJP is a faster north/south skater with a better shot. From an offensive standpoint JJP is more potent. These players have different skill sets and both are needed.
  7. I don't say this with an abundance of confidence but I do see the addition of Jarmo, and to a lesser extent Stall, to the staff as positive indicators that there will be some transactions that at the minimum change the dynamic in this roster. They are outside eyes brought into a provincially run franchise. Jarmo is not known for his timidity. He has had a history of making deals and not looking back. He, more than the cautious GM, is not afraid to rework a roster that is coasting along. The draft is approaching where many deals are transacted. There are many reports that the GM has been communicating with a lot of "interested" trading parties. So the signs are that there will be some deals. How beneficial will they turn out to be? I can't say. We shall see.
  8. You are having a good time mocking me. It’s apparent to all that I’m out of step and out of tune. True story: In grammar school at graduation my malicious music teacher told me not to sing at the ceremony but to just mouth the words and fake singing. 😀
  9. My problem with the Ruff selection as HC isn't directed toward Ruff being selected as it is to the nonexistent/fraudulent process used to hire him. It was another Pegula whimsical hire. Is he a good HC at this stage of his respectable career? I don't know. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt right now. He inherited a team that wasn't smartly assembled and was required to take on the coaches already on staff. It was a third-rate hiring process by a third-rate Pegula organization. I look at the members of the blueline unit that you listed. If you are able to parlay Byram plus assets to add another good second pairing caliber blueliner, you have a respectable group that will be even better if the forwards learn to play a more responsible two-way game. In my assessment, I'm expecting Power and Samuelsson to be better. Also, the Docker acquisition is a credible lower pairing add on to that unit. Few people would rate it as a high-end group but it can be a better than respectable unit. Some smart tweaking can better round out that unit.
  10. If you are getting Lyubushkin to play on either of your top two pairings, you are excessively reaching. That's not appealing to me. However, getting him as a third pair player and helping to reorient how our unit plays (tougher and more basic defensively), then I'm all for it. My hope is that dealing off Byram with added inducements will bring in a defender who will be a good fit for either of the top two pairings. My priorities are to bring in an experienced goalie and to recompose the blue line unit with a couple of new faces. I know I am going to attract a lot of howls here but I haven't given up on Sameulsson as the secondary/support player on either of the top two pairings.
  11. When it comes to music I'm a dullard. The era I'm still musically attached to is MoTown. Don't mock me because I deserve empathy for being so far out of touch.
  12. His contract year is coming up next year. Another season of team failure will get him into thinking of his options. I'm not saying that I have inside information but what I do know is that the level of internal disgruntlement will increase if this team doesn't get on a better track. This topic about Tuch's not too distant options that related to his expiring contract (next year) was discussed on WGR by Paul Hamiliton. It should be remembered that Tuch was traded from a Cup winning team to a team that hasn't even sniffed the playoffs since he arrived at his new destination. There is no question that losing is demoralizing to the competitive spirit in players.
  13. If responding the way you did makes you feel good, then you have issues to address. You may not be aware of it due to your lack of self-awareness but you calling someone condescending is beyond being absurd. You seem frazzled. Go take a break and refresh.
  14. Your level of class is on full display. Act like an adult and grow up.
  15. Tuch may be another player who might not want to be here. We'll have to wait to see how things materialize with him. If the team struggles next season and is out of the playoffs he might prefer to be somewhere else.
  16. If you don't like what I'm posting about the inept GM and the ragged owner, then don't freaking respond. I don't respond to all your pompous and obnoxious posts. So exercise some self-discipline and direct your boorish attitude to someone else. Who the freak appointed you guardian of the house. There is a simple solution: ignore and address someone else. Your lack of self-awareness how insufferable you can be (not all times) is off the charts. Your brilliance in full display.
  17. Dallas was a genuine SC contender and very likely will be in the mix again next year. Is Robertson replaceable? I'm sure Dallas would rather have him than not. We'll see how Dallas handles the impending cap challenges. As it has been said before by a number of people, good organizations find a way to work within the cap and keep the core together when the window of opportunity is still open. I think they will but maybe they won't. Dallas is a serious franchise that wants to seriously compete. If they can find a way to keep him they will. If they can't do it, they will get a good return for him.
  18. It's likely that Byrum will be moved. So if Byrum is dispatched, then the return very likely be a different style of defender. Power is staying no matter who is brought in or sent out.
  19. Banning was the question. When there is fighting in those sports, rare as it is, the players get thrown out.
  20. Are you not aware that Edmonton was in the SC finals without him? They considered him replaceable. I like McCleod a lot. He was a good addition. But he's not at the level or of importance to the team he left than is Robertson for Dallas.
  21. Are you comparing McCleod to Robertson? If so, you are off base. McCleod to them was expendable and not worth the price compared to Robertson who is a primary player. In Edmonton, McCleod was a secondary player and easily expendable.
  22. I agree with you that it is agent manipulation but I’ m not bothered by it. Agents take a variety of strategies to manufacture interest for their clients. According to P. Ham on that radio segment that particular agent is known for his aggressiveness.
  23. Why would Dallas trade Jason Robertson? That would make no sense for them. Dallas is a serious SC contending team. They have a top tier goalie who is capable of keeping their thick team in cup contention. This is a period of time where you go for it, not slide back because of cap stresses. Dallas is a serious franchise with championship aspirations. They are a first rate operation that is not going to act like a third rate penny pinching franchise like the mocked Sabres. Dallas is not going to strip its team of a key player because of the cap pressure. The Stars will make some tough decisions and do what they have to do to work within the cap. Especially while this group is capable of vying for the SC, they are not going to shed any of their essential players and set themselves back while they are on the doorstep is a championship. Their franchise is an adult franchise while the Sabre franchise sits at the table set aside for the children. That’s the reality.
  24. On a WGR segment, Paul Hamilton stated that the talk was agent driven. (As you noted.)
