That's why you use your 1st rd pick to trade for someone.

Couldn't find anyone to accept a trade, KA has no plan.

Who will be the next Head Coach of the Buffalo Sabres?
ndirish1978 replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
Haven't been keeping up with the search. Have we interviewed anyone? -
Why should Granato and the assistants be brought back?
ndirish1978 replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
is the question just for Granato and coaches and not KA? I know we have a good prospect pipeline but I mean we SHOULD have the best pipeline in the league considering how long we have sucked. What has KA done that warrants any continuity for the org? -
Fire everyone. Josh absolutely sucks now, our D sucks, Gabe Davis sucks, screw this team.

I'm not super well schooled in hockey, just been reading about it the past few months. But, I don't see how we can consistently show such poor advanced stats on D and then apparently do nothing at all to solve the problem. I may be wrong, but I'm not seeing much in the way of system change in regards to our defending at all. Kinda bummed about it tbh.

Matthew Savoie will take part in the AM Skate 10/6
ndirish1978 replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Does he need to put on a few lbs still to be able to withstand these hits? I don't want them to bring him back just to have him yo-yo in and out of the lineup with a bunch of injuries. -
We need to talk about Zach Benson making the team this year, 2023
ndirish1978 replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
I think he has the skill and mental makeup to play in the NHL. I don't think his body is in a place where he could play a full season and be effective. I'd like him to put on muscle like many here have stated. If he can do that in the NHL, ok. If he's best served doing that playing in juniors and working on his size and skating speed, then let's do that. -
I've been impressed with Benson.

Commented in the game thread that the announcer sounds ill. His speech is slurred and he labors over every word.

Unsubstantiated SabreSpace Rumormongering: Pegs is selling the team….

What the hell is this thread? -
If you were picking, which songs would you assign to each player? I don't comprehend how Tage hasn't picked TNT by AC/DC as his song, probably has to do with it being the Flames' team song when a goal is scored, but I still like it for him.

Movies / TV Shows - I Have Watched / Plan To Watch
ndirish1978 replied to Sabres Fan in NS's topic in The Aud Club
It's good, but imo it's overhyped. It's a solid show, not some revelation. -
The Jacksonville Icemen are the Sabres New ECHL Affiliate?

Then thanks for the joke, because I'm a neophyte and I appreciated the explanation =) -
Just hopped in to watch on ESPN. Anything unexpected happen so far?

NHL advises against and/or bans cause-themed warmup jerseys.
ndirish1978 replied to Eleven's topic in The Aud Club
You're welcome to believe whatever you want, but your argument essentially calls everyone who doesn't align with your thoughts a hypocrite for not believing the "right" truth, then you act like a victim when your hypocrisy is pointed out. The fact that you immediately tried to pin my problem with the way you state your point on religion shows you have a predisposition against certain arguments. I don't care what your religion is, I don't care who you sleep with, I don't care about your social background. I am tired of the virtue signaling hypocrisy of people who say "I believe everything should be heard" but what they really mean is "I believe everything I value should be heard." -

I'm sorry but you're really picking and choosing causes here to fit your viewpoint. The pride contingent uses their beliefs to criticize people who don't support their cause just as much as any other group, pretending otherwise is patently untrue. You compare a private act, wearing a cross in public/public prayer, with a public act of telling people how to live their lives. That is just as easily changed to wearing a rainbow jersey being allowed and not telling people that their religion is wrong. I don't really care one bit what your cause is, just don't virtue signal in one direction and then immediately turn around and act like a victim. Russian players grow up in a country where being gay is illegal - they have families at home who will likely face backlash if they were the jerseys. They choose not to wear the pride jersey and people are up in arms calling them bigots. Their culture tells them something is wrong, they probably agree with that sentiment and in the event they don't their family could face backlash for their opinions. Players should be allowed to support or not support whichever causes they want. I'm just tired of all these double standard arguments acting like one side is virtuous and the other is all hypocrites. Get rid of all the causes and just play the sport. I don't think any person should have to wear a pregame jersey supporting a cause they don't support. The only reason these causes are actually in sports is because they ultimately make the teams money on jersey sales, if they didn't earn, these special causes wouldn't even be an afterthought. -
Athletic "reorganizing" with huge layoffs
ndirish1978 replied to Crusader1969's topic in The Aud Club
They have stats views per article, feedback on the quality of the article from the little buttons at the end of every article and can track the number of comments in the comment section and questions posted to "mailbags." I would presume that's why none of the Buffalo guys are gone, they have solid interaction metrics. I see some stories on there with <10 responses but they are always from other markets. -

None of the people canned were from the Buffalo beat so this is unlikely. It's also a weird move to try to guilt someone post-event when their post already shows they don't care. Not sure what the purpose of this was. -
Good for Eichel. I still dislike him and always will.
