And of course all this contract speculation about who will agree to what gets impacted by the team's improvement trajectory. If we continue to be susceptible to 8-game skids and generally tread water for a couple more years, when contracts start to expire, don't expect too many home-town discounts to continue to be part of the never-ending rebuild. Pro sports careers are short.
