  1. Funny story about seeing the Stones… They’re coming to Rich Stadium in late September 1981. I’m 15 years old and my older brother and friends are getting tickets. It would be my first concert and I want to go so bad, but my parents had a “rule” about being 16 before going to a concert without them. After much pleading, my parents reconsidered, saying “Well ya know, they may never tour again.” 😂. I’m 57 and retired now, and they’re still touring! 🎸 🥁 🎶
  2. How come we can’t find JAGs like Erod? 😂 😞
  3. Is it still OK to say we miss Samson on the roster?
  4. If we had to apportion responsibility between ownership, coaches, and players, is it roughly 1/3 each? Or does KA bear a higher %? Or is KA’s lack of action due to constraints placed on him by TP?
  5. It's likely been discussed around here somewhere already, but who might be a quality trade target that has a good relationship with Lindy, e.g., someone he could "sell"/ talk out of a NMC?
  6. I retired at 57 at the end of last year. Now I can stay up and watch the Sabres when they play late road games on the left coast.
  7. Can we hope for a swarm of locusts to invade the building and leave nothing but a pile of skates, helmets and pads??
  8. Tonight was his last broadcast. He’s done, which is good because he’s been especially hard to listen to for a year now.
  9. Leafs looked very good tonight. I didn’t know they were this physical. And Woll played really well. Coyle, Marchand, and Pasta were kind of invisible. Don’t expect that to be the case in G7.
  10. Seeing Neil Young & Crazy Horse outside Boston in a few weeks.
  11. While I don’t think Beane is infallible, I think he’s playing the long game wrt the cap and realizes that being consistently very good, ie, making the playoffs is the strategy, as luck invariably plays a part in a team going all the way. There are 31 teams that are disappointed every single year
  12. I think we're going to see them play more full 60 minute games, stemming from being in better physical and mental condition.
  13. I think it's a proxy for "The profile and character of the roster is way more important than who's coaching them".
  14. Did you know that Ruff has a higher career win % than Paul Maurice and John Tortorella, or doesn’t that support your point?
  15. We will have to agree to disagree on this one. Even without knowing their winning percentages, if you tell me the coach or player who has the most wins all time in their sport, I think that is an excellent indicator of above average success. I think it’s a function of longevity, which in sports tends to be a function of success.
  16. Now that’s a hot take. I don’t think you meant to say “never”.
  17. Holy F… part of me is thrilled, part of me remembers it not working last time.
  18. We could do worse
  19. Great pace and banging in the Bruins- Loafs game so far.
  20. And we’re listening to Muel opine about leadership because…? Does anyone consider him to be any kind of authority on the subject? Work on your durability, young man.
  21. Playoff hockey? I’m not familiar. Could you elaborate?
