Out of curiosity, what type of player wouldn’t be a “typical Sabres pick” in the late rounds? Can’t the same be said for every other teams’ late round picks?
Are there too many rounds in the draft? Should they just leave the draft after the 3rd round?
Similarly, so many things in society seem to drive us to make binary choices— this or that, this candidate or that one, is this good or bad, etc. I’m continually reminding myself that I don’t have to have an opinion on everything.
In situations like this, I always wonder about past precedents with other teams. You know, (team) brought in (person) to advise (other person) and it turned out (fill in the blank).
I’m among the crowd that’s not thrilled with Adams getting another mulligan, but if JK can offer sound advice, experience, and connections, that KA actually heeds, then it could be a step in the right direction.
Cautiously optimistic.
