The only thing of value we got out of the trade was the 20 goal scorer who appears to be even more "damaged goods" than the "damaged goods" we acquired him for.

The one glimmer of hope was that power play in his first game where his head almost exploded clearly expecting guys to do what NHL players are supposed to do on a PP and seeing his poorly coached teammates doing the exact opposite.

Any time the puck was in our own end and Byram was on the ice I would repeatedly be performing the sign of the cross. He wasn't just bad, he was awful (like sub-Risto level).

The only winner in the entire scenario was Butch Goring as it led directly to his #91 being retired (which in all honesty he did really deserve as the final piece of the dynasty).

To everyone in the Oilers organization responsible for this hire I have but one thing to say:

There are literally no redeeming features about KBC. None. Every single thing about it completely sucks.

Visit any other NHL or NBA arena and you will see just what an embarrassing dilapidated shithole KBC is. Every one of the arenas even close to comparable in awfulness are in the process of being replaced, most major colleges have far better arenas. There are even several AHL teams that have nicer arenas.

This offseason in a nutshell: Through his own bungling and miscalculations Adams put himself in a position where he had to accomplish something impossible to redeem himself. Predictably he failed.

You left out a terrifying detail: The NHL did steer Pegula towards 2 different GM hires: Tim Murray and Jason Botterill (two of the worst GM's in the history of the sport).

Found a guy who had a worse day than KA:

Adams is a giant pile of suck but he didn't want to get rid of either of those guys and you are nuts if you think he did. Jack demanded out, Sam was a year away from walking out the door for nothing. He had no choice about moving either, he had to trade them.

There's no way he comes back next season. None. That bridge has been publicly nuked, he won't accept a trade and is going to be bought out.

The guy is complete washed up garbage which is why the freaking rags are trying to unload the guy. If you want a minimally talented cheap shot artist give Pat Kaletta a call as it would be far cheaper.

If the guy we want is the guy SJ takes with the 11OA pick it would be freaking hilarious so bet on that happening.

Or Adams was one of the most grossly unqualified hires in hockey history who only got the job because he was a trusted stooge of just about the most incompetent failure of an owner in hockey history and is really ***** awful at a job he had no business being hired for in the first place.

It's depressing watching this knowing it has virtually no chance of ever happening here until Terry Pegula is out of the picture.
