The league needs to step in at this point because Terry lacks the basic competency needed to run an NHL team. Until he sells the team or dies there is literally no hope.

How can anyone have any hope when you realize Terry and his band of clueless morons see Seth Appert as some hockey genius head coach in waiting? There is absolutely nothing in that man's resume that suggests he is any good at his job.

The idea our "reward" for the single most catastrophic failure of a season in team history is likely a AAAA "not an AHL player but not an NHL player either" guy is just beyond depressing.

The theory is the league did it as a make good for hosing them out of the ASG (which the team used access to as a renewal incentive BTW). (Yes I know it's total nonsense).

The owner (whose mall at the UBS site is failing badly btw) started shitting bricks when he saw the renewal numbers, which is the reason he sacked Lou. This is pretty much common knowledge.

Islanders STH's en mass called their reps at the end of the season and told them either Lou goes or they go, which is the main reason Lou got fired. They earned this.

He wants to get paid like a top line guy but is not a top line guy and will never be a top line guy (the fact that his numbers are awful when not paired with Dahlin pretty much prove this). Trading him to fix a roster hole before everyone else in the league catches onto this fact is such an obvious move.

When Dahlin was hurt he was used as the top guy and sucked so bad he made Risto look like Denis Potvin.

The "good" news is you don't have to worry about Adams giving Tuch $9 million per because he's counting down the days until he escapes this dumpster fire franchise and wouldn't stay here for any amount.

If they actually believe this... oh boy. The team was total dogshit the entire season, the fact that the team was getting wins late they absolutely didn't deserve due to massive puck luck and the backup goalie going on a heater doesn't change anything. Watch that last game where they almost choked away a 4-1 lead to an absolutely horrid Flyers team.

So let me get this straight: Benson, who earned a spot in the NHL as hard as it's possible to earn it (they absolutely wanted him to go back to the WHL but he gave them no choice but to put and keep him on the roster) needs to be sent to Rochester to send a message he needs to "earn his spot"? And the fact that his metrics on both ends of the ice are off the charts and that if other players played the game the way he does we would be playing playoff games right now should be ignored because puck luck has led to point production not matching the metrics? Do I have this right?

When you are the single worst organization in the entire history of your sport doing nothing but hiring from within is a mind-blowingly stupid idea.

The media people were way too nice with Adams. The situation called for Brooksie and Torts and only Fairburn brought any heat.
