How much of this is the enthusiasm of Alex Tuch? Not only does his positive outlook help the team, it also affects us fans because he is one of us.

I hate to be that guy, but I wonder how much is fans wanting to believe in management and how much is the lack of obvious overwhelming negativity coming from the locker room.

Just checked his background.. Monahan has had a few surgeries which have limited his effectiveness. Think of him now as a $6M Vinnie Hinostroza at Centre. I would want a sweetener. Now, if he's fully healed, then he might be a worthwhile gamble.

I can't imagine Anderson not getting injured. I am looking at a quartet of netminders. And it has no certainty in it. I would have overpaid a bit for something more sure.

My view is the reverse of yours. I did not see any name UFA signing here. IMHO, because it is not clear that the Sabres are out of the woods after The Tank, the only way they could get a top free-agent would be to overpay someone for overly long. Adams clearly wants to hold money back for over the next few seasons for players on a roster he clearly believes.

IMHO, racism, agism, sexism, political antagonism, religious animosity, and numerous other things are getting worse and have been getting progressively worse since Clinton's election. I don't know what it was, but it was coincident coincident with the first Baby Boomer getting elected. (N.B.: I hated Clinton, but there was something beyond that which some people felt which I still do not understand.) I wish I had a solution to the nursing shortage and to the teaching shortage. We as a society need to appreciate nurses, teachers, plumbers, electricians, etc. more, but that would only the beginning.

I am really divided on this. On one hand, law enforcement do a job you could not pay me enough to do. Most policemen do an honest job which is exceedingly difficult but is necessary for a functioning society.. On the other hand, I was told by one law enforcement officer that I would not have to worry about being targetted by cops if I had the good sense to leave the country. (He first pulled me over for speeding when I was keeping up with traffic. So I went the speed limit -- then he pulled me over 5 minutes later for being a danger on the road for going the speed limit and not keeping up with traffic. The above was his response when I took both tickets and asked him what I should do.) There are cops who follow me in their cars for miles looking for a reason to pull me over. That is aside from the thin blue line desecration of the American flag with its overtly racist overtones. (According to my old civics classes [vintage 1976], that is an alteration of the representation of the American flag not officially sanctioned by law and is therefore a desecration. As another example, if you wore pants with a flag, you could not sit down because that counted as desecration too.)
