He is allegedly looking for Skinner money. No way.
-
The question is who would that be? I can't come up with names who would be available for the life of me. And I WANT another Samuelsson badly.
-
IIRC, the advanced stats reflected that Clague might work the best with Lyubushkin out of our 6-9 D.
-
This looks like Mittlestadt needs 2 of Girgensons, Okposo, Jost, Asplund, and Hinostroza as linemates. The problem is the same thing applies to Olofsson and Krebs. It is impossible to do this without benching at least 1 of those 3 each game.

Are the Sabres out of the running for the playoffs?
Marvin replied to inkman's topic in The Aud Club
Maybe that is why we are more realistic about the team: our coach and the media around the team have been frank about our weaknesses. -
Maybe none if Power also develops and voters stick to the idiotic "one player vote per team" nonsense the PHWA writers normally do.

For those who have forgotten, Dave Andreychuk owns the Sabres' record for most goals in a game with 5. -

Advanced Stats Say Goaltending the Issue, Not Defense
Marvin replied to JoeSchmoe's topic in The Aud Club
So the belief that people do not want to come here has some truth to it. This also implies that the Sabres need to get Levi and Portillo both into the fold if possible. We probably need to emphasise goaltending a bit more than other teams in future drafts. -

Actually, you and I, among others, go back a few years. -

Part of it looks like HCDG has not emphasised a strongly-defined defencive structure. The structure which exists seems loose. Also, the youth have made a lot of mistakes that come with youth, particularly the lack of situational awareness. The plethora of high-quality scoring chances which opponents get most games are a testimony to these issues. I can not overstate how much Samuelsson's injury hurt the defence; Lyubushkin's and Jokiharu's exacerbated the problem. The lack of defencive depth was exposed by these. Goaltending has been suspect. Some of this comes from the lack of awareness by the skaters in the defencive zone, but soft goals are distressingly common. -
I view getting Krebs away from Mittlestadt and Olofsson as a promotion, not a demotion.
-
Good luck. And welcome to the board!

Thanks for the update. I am not happy.

Maybe the problem is not Mittlestadt and Olofsson as players, but them as a tandem. DG may need to split them. I wonder what the lines should look like...
-
Krebs made Mittlestadt and Olofsson stink less. That speaks volumes in his favour.
-
Brock Boeser is available (this year and 2 more at about $6.85 M). I would tell him to take some time to mourn his father properly. Does Vancouver's #3 LHD look appealing?
-
That's why my preferred solution is Girgensons-Jost-Okposo Asplund-Krebs-Hinostroza
-
Good. They have earned it.

It seems obvious that Mittlestadt and Olofsson need to be split. I also can not see either of them getting outright scratched. How do we juggle our bottom 8 forwards within these constraints? If I were doing this, I would bench both for a couple of games.
