I don't know how to copy link URLs on my phone. But I got that from Bill Hoppe's article on Peyton Krebs at buffalohockeybeat.com.

Girgensons-Krebs-Okposo had the 6th best GA/60 min for lines that played at least 400 minutes together last season. That matters to coaches.

Because different sandpapers have different levels of grit?

I am for 76 games for starters: 4 games per team in conference and 1 per team out of conference. That cuts 2 weeks off the season there.
-
This was changed ages ago because that meant 4 games in 5 nights. Players did not like how beat up they were and owners did not like the turn-around time. Now, the networks like it because they can have games on every night amd fans can watch every second if they so choose.

I remember the Versus announcer lying that the cheer was "Let's go Hurricanes" when Sabres fans were drowning out the home fans. We need to organize expatriates to help us get tickets to road games, I guess.

This day on Sabres history- The beginning of suffering
Marvin replied to Weave's topic in The Aud Club
I imagine most other teams' management learnt the lesson from our example not to totally dismantle the NHL team because you can spend years recovering if things don't go perfectly. -
Is Jeff Skinner on a Hall of Fame trajectory?
Marvin replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
He would need a Conn Smythe trophy for a Sabres Cup win to even be considered. And even then, probably not. Then again, Bill Barber is in. -

Who gets the boot? Who is at the top of your list?
Marvin replied to Zamboni's topic in The Aud Club
Skinner already gives the Sabres the stink of diving. Add Bunting and they won't have a power play all season. No interest in Zadorov's return. -
I personally would prefer 1-8 in the conference, whence they should play a balanced conference schedule of 4 games per team -- unlikely because of travel in the west. For those of us who remember playing Vancouver in round 1, I am not for league-wide playoff seeding. Game 4 from 1980 is on YouTube. Anyone else remember being red-eyed the next morning?

I was grumpy before I got old. Does that help?

Welcome back. I am with you. Find some old games on YouTube and marvel that the announcers are actually announcing the game.

Expansion fees.

In 2005-6, we saw players like Afinogenov, Vanek, and Pominville consistently finish their checks. Playoffs bring unknown abilities out of players.
-
If I recall, all of Dallas's GWG in games 2, 3, and 5 came immediately after the Sabres lost a defencive zone face-off.
-
If the top defencemen are gone by the time the Sabres pick, then I hope GMKA trades #13 with whatever is reasonably necessary for a top 4 D.

With Kulich, Rousek, and Savoie knocking on the door, which veteran forwards can be brought back? Who gets moved out if the Sabres bring in someone from the outside, like a JT Compher? I don't think that we can just inject more youth into the line-up. Assuming none of Girgensons, Hinostroza, Jost, Okposo, and Olofsson are brought back, the forwards look like: Skinner-Thompson-Tuch Quinn-Cozens-Peterka Mittlestadt-Krebs-Greenway Savoie-Kulich-Rousek I don't like the idea of any of the rookies being a 13th forward if we add someone. And I think this forward group is younger than this past season's. I can't see anything obvious to do.

2003?

Welcome back!

And the kicked goal by the Islanders cost us the playoff spot.

Connolly, Afinogenov, and 1 other player would not have been able to play in round 1. With the shenanigans we have seen since, I get angrier every year.
