I empathise with all of this.

Way, way, way too much without an extension. Quinn is off-limits even with an extension. Not to mention that goalkeepers don't cost that much anyway.
-
What is more frustrating is that it is the same script as in last year's playoffs.

He learned how to play in the defencive zone from Okposo and Girgensons. He also leaned how to read the ice better.

I really don't like how the Bandits match up 5-on-5 against Colorado. Buffalo still has no answer to Colorado's defencive system.
-
I value ensemble play and depth more than you do. I don't see a reason to help Toronto with their biggest weaknesses just for bragging rights for Matthews.

One thing this tournament showed me is that everyone who has written off Peyton Krebs or views him as just filler in a trade should rethink their analysis.

Reminder: today's game is at 4pm on ESPN2.

76 games has another variation: 2x24 games outside your division + 4×7 games in division.
-
The reasoning is that fans of actual rivalries did not like only playing 3 games against those teams this year.

I wish. I like a 76 game season: 4x15 in-conference 1×16 out-of-conference.

There is a discussion on HFBoards that the NHL and NHLPA will agree to an 84 game season and ease the project cap jump 2 seasons from now by accelerating some of it to next season. One obvious point should be that all current salaries should be increased by 1/41 to compensate. The second one would be a similar prorating of the Cap. Projection are for over a $90M Cap in 2024-5. The current Cap is about $83.6. Thus, the Cap may increase to about $87M.

I don't know how to copy the link. Their speculation is the growth of MLS to 30 teams. I wonder where they think NASCAR is.

Great to see. I hope is translates to the NHL.

It could really hurt. I recall Danny Gare remarking that the Sabres had 10 days off in 1980 before having to play the Islander. He said it wasn't until game 3 that the Sabres has kicked off all if the rust. By then, the Sabres were already down 2-0, from which they never recovered.

GDT - 5/27/23 - Hershey @ Rochester - Game 3 ECF - 7:05 pm

In such an officiating environment, to quote one pundit, "owners love the hook and hold because a thug is as useful as a skilled player and come a lot more cheaply." I hate hockey when it is officiated like this. -
That Colorado defencive system is choking off Buffalo's offence again.

Maybe some of the whiniest, most petulant, childish, condescending, and self-aggrandising Sabres fans on HFBoards have coloured my judgement, but I read that response and your attitude very poorly. IMHO, it says, "I know whom to trade or not to trade to get what I want and it is so obvious that I don't need to provide details do I can whine about it for the next decade." A few guys over there seem to have such soulless lives that all they do is belly-ache about not trading away #13, Savoie, and Kulich for Chychrun and a cap dump. I want to see the kind of player being targeted. Veteran, youngster, or prospect? Signed for how long? Straight across or package deal? I also want a feel for how the person values the Sabres' asset. Unlike most cases, where fans over-value their assets, I don't think most fans on this board value Rosen enough. For instance, I see Calgary having a real need to get younger, which is why I thought Jokiharu for Tanev made sense for both sides. I think Winnipeg could help their rebuild and help us out with Rosen plus a project prospect for DeMelo. Now you can help me out with my evaluations of the players. Aside: HFBoards's team pages are a great place to get a feel for who might be available and for what price.

One thing that they can do better regardless of what Hershey does is be more precise passing the puck. Even open guys could not hit open guys in stride on Thursday. -
Sabres announce Ryan Johnson signs 2 year ELC (Finally)

No nihilists will cut off our Johnson. -
