I needed to know that for the next time I go to the arena.
-
What forward depth? Do you mean Rosen, Kulich, et al. from Rochester?
-
I still hold a grudge over the Peter McNab trade, so I am worse off than you.

Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.

OT: Traffic Accident Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls, NY

Just saw a video of the car accelerating then flying in the air and apparently crashing into a barrier. -
Depending on the coach, it can. For instance Peter Laviolette prefers 11-7.
-
On the actual topic at hand: I read a Xeet (tweet on X = Xeet) on HFBoards that Kane's agent is trying to get extra term on a Buffalo contract.

I can't think of anything. When I lived out of town, people used to denigrate me because I refused to debase myself as an apology for being from the Buffalo area, so I have found ways to appreciate things dear to other local yokels that this yokel does not care much for.

I still can't find someone to sell me a cheapo car for about $5 grand because I am not poor enough. What is so hard to understand that I want a car to tide me over until I finish fixing up my 76 year old house?

Do you root for different teams for different sports and why?

Sabres, of course. I follow the Bills a little bit, but I have lost most interest in football because of the NFL's actions over CTE. I have a passing interest in the Cleveland Cavaliers because several of my friends are from Cleveland. Although I kind of like the Blue Jays, I lost interest in baseball after the 1994 strike essentially killed off the Montreal Expos. After that, I am basically market driven: root for the small market teams. -
I think the problem is personnel. Ideally, the organisation should be 5 forward lines, 4 defence pairs, and 3 goalkeepers deep of at least passable NHL players without any dead weight. Any youth there should be close to NHL-ready. And therein lies the problem. The forwards have at least 1 consensus player who is dead weight. The youth that can be called up are too young to be truly NHL-ready. The team is debatably zero deep in NHL goaltenders. IMHO, that is on the GM.

Do the players go around the coach to gripe to management?
-
I went through this with the Braves. I don't have the mental make-up for it.
-
You need Dan Paille types too. As long as he's useful and while we have him.
-
Joke's on me. I complete forgot that Comrie is still on IR.🤣

I would first send Levi to Rochester. I personally would assume that Tuch is out for a 2 more weeks, Tage for 6 weeks assuming that it is his thumb is broken and not his wrist (12 otherwise), and Quinn until the All-Star break. Then I would assemble the best roster I can for Buffalo and figure out the best style of play needed to keep the team's heads above water until at least the New Year. That probably means a more conservative system, particularly defending. Then pray.

To some extent, there are. I used to get gloves with a reinforced thumb and thicker wrist protection. I tested the gloves for strength in those areas because I played defence. I think it varies by manufacturer. Addendum: now that it finally hits me, I think what @SDS meant was to ask if each manufacturer varies the protection on the gloves. Not that I know of, but I imagine custom reinforcements are available.
-
As if the Tuch injury wasn't enough... Dylan, please find your form. Shooters have gloves with shorter wrist guards to give them more touch with a shot. The reason a lot of defencemen and defencive forwards have "stone hands" is because their wrist guards are long enough to preclude fine motor control.

I hate long COVID. I tire out shortly after work and sleep through the game until tomorrow morning. I can afford season tickets again, but I can't stay awake. -
What was so wrong with 4 on 4 again?
-
Has McDermott lost the players? If so, this could get ugly.
-
He is defending Dorsey? Is he nuts? That is horrible. He needs to go.

TBD is coming unglued.

Against the worst run defence in the league no less.
