  1. Your comment about the turkey of the trade was just ducky.
  2. Key word is "seriously."
  3. I really, really want to see this team with a real coach before we moved anyone. Otherwise, we are in a classic "sell low" situation. We can't get rid of RK fast enough for me. He's passing Ron Rolston bad to Hank Bullough bad.
  4. You know it: These guys are bad -- scary bad. Followed by this coach, this franchise, these owners, etc. Then clueless, sloppy, brain dead, etc. It's almost too easy.
  5. Ah. That's better.
  6. This ownership is clueless -- scary clueless. It's like they are trying to run for Upper Class Twit of the Year. I shall omit the video because it will run afoul of the standards of this board.
  7. GMTM proved that losing was not only acceptable, but encouraged in this organisation. Many of us fans encouraged it. Why would you expect KA and RK to be held to a different standard? If you were for the tank, then you were OK with this potential eventuality.
  8. I was wrong about RK being gone by today.
  9. Remember when Darcy was canned? People did not have a rumour about it happening until *that morning*. I do not expect a leak before a new hire -- if there is one.
  10. The Pegulas waited a couple of games for Rolston to win a game before firing him and Darcy. I hope that the team knows and is trying to send him off on a positive note.
  11. I would laugh if Samson learns some centre and our centre spine next year goes Eichel-Reinhart-Cozens.
  12. Of the later ones, I think of Bob Sweeney and Danny Paille.
  13. You are supposed to jerk your knee after the doctor's hammer hits your knee. 😉
  14. Or GMJB trading for Sobotka. Or Sobotka getting the 4th most minutes under Housley until his black hole of suck became blindingly obvious.
  15. I hate to agree. If we don't start righting the ship soon, we will be back near the start of a rebuild. We need a new, qualified, respected, and effective coach in the worst way.
  16. The neck injury could exacerbate shoulder, rib, or back problems. Take a look at the musculature; maybe you can infer what the original injuries were and where.
  17. Potential correction: my information was that Housley's coaching style "was the second coming of Scotty Bowman" and that "his frustration with the team's declining performance and lack of support from above" caused him to eventually "come unglued." If true, he was not soft as pillows. Of course, this could be someone trying to rehab his reputation. But given how positive the players were to RK's approach, it is plausible.
  18. Let's think about this differently. If I am trading Eichel, I don't need stars. I could handle getting the equivalent of Chris Drury, Mike Grier, and Jochen Hecht ca. 2003. Before they got here, they really weren't all that heralded.
  19. I think we are in a bit of a Heisenberg uncertainty principle situation. I find it impossible to call his acquisition of Staal a failure because I can't extract being hamstrung by RK from it. I am willing to cut him more slack than you are because I think he had no choice on the coach, was fed a bill of goods by the coaching staff on how good the team was, and would have worked passably if the coaching had merely been mediocre. Now, if he trades Staal and Staal continues to stink out the joint, then I will revise my evaluation to align with yours. I am far more negative about signing Taylor Hall. There were players who would have made the team far deeper who were signed more cheaply later in the off-season. His problems were much easier to foresee. But then again, we have the RK uncertainty principle again with him.
