Just pointing out that McEnroe was a whiner, but he was 100% right on this one. He had 100-0 calls go against him every now and then at Wimbledon. It was embarrassing for tennis.

I am. I learnt a lot of neurology when I was doing research in neural networks, so I tend to avoid football because of the NFL's handling of CTEs. I still follow what the Bills do. In years past, I would have watched on with the sound off while simultaneously listening to the other. My head hurts just thinking about it now.

I do not like what Granato said at all. The players can always learn positional defence and learn to be more conservative in zone exits while still attacking.

Until the team puts out the same kind of play over a stretch, plays a consistent 200' game, stops committing mind-numbing gaffes, and gets back to at least DeLuca 0.500, I will not assume that they have even begun to turn the corner on the season. What I am hoping for is that the team stays relatively healthy so that they can maybe string together some consistent play. Maybe they were trying to hard because of all the injuries.

That is just nuts. If you are 8-6 against top teams, you should be near the top as well. We are flat out bad against the bottom 2/3 of the league.

One difference tonight which the team often did not do in some wins is having a forward back as an outlet for the defencemen. As you said, though, let us see it for several games in a row first, but I think that is an unexpectedly good sign.
