My nieces, nephews, etc. find the idea of skating on a frozen back yard locally or skiing to the grocery store to be virtually inconceivable because winters are so warm now. I think they are really missing out.

As my avatar is Marvin, I am feeling very depressed. Me with this terrible pain in all the diodes down my left side.

I will study a bit harder tonight. I thought that I had a handle on it earlier in the year, but I think they sometimes have executed so badly that I get confused. It would be different if I were at the game sitting in either section 313 or 327 so that I could really study it.

My health and my job prevent me from following hockey as much as I would like. The Sabres' seemingly routine setbacks have taken a toll on my patience with the franchise. The treatment I got at the games from some fans during The Tank soured me on going to games very often. I still want them to win, but the passion has dissipated. This year is worse than the last 2 years because I was starting to like this team, yet here they are disappointing us again. They are still beset with problems. I know they need to fix the assistant coaches at least and get a different blend of personnel on the ice. Until that happens, I guess I should just keep doing what I am doing.

In an old episode of Magnum, p.i. one of the characters said something like "you know you're old when the most familiar players are younger than you are and they are considered old." This was about turning 40.

Indeed, I would be looking at nearly NHL-ready prospects who play a Greenway type game so that injuries don't hurt as much next season. I am also loath to trade Greenway on one end and obtain a lesser player on the other end. No one is selling a top 4 RHD for a player and prospect unless he is a UFA. I don't think that is feasible.
