Agree to disagree. Not about Hasek being awesome. About only needing ONE player on a TEAM to “get you to the playoffs”. Or to use your words “deep into the playoffs”. It’s ok, we just view it differently. and since the thread is about Levi … He could be a contributing factor to having success in a season and in the playoffs. I certainly hope he continues to develop well in the coming years. But on a team sport… He won’t be THE sole reason why they do well in a season and/or playoffs. Just the way I see it.

I don’t think Granato or Adams view any line as a certain number. 4th line, 3rd line etc … I think that’s a concept that certain fans want to grasp onto and cling to.

No, I think most realize he’s a physical stay at home D man who won’t acquire many points. Isn’t flashy. Will quietly do his job most nights. And will mostly be on the bottom pairing with occasional bump ups to the top 4 because of injuries or coaching adjustments in game etc … Most are not thinking the way you are portraying. There absolutely is no “hype” with him.
