Not only that. But the tired, and inaccurate sentiment of prospects not making the NHL. That has been said so so so so much. About so so so many prospects who do in fact eventually make the NHL. In recent memory, Reinhart, Olofsson, Peterka, when Cozens was struggling early on, I remember rumblings about Miller when he was drafted not making the NHL ever because he was a fifth round draft pick. It’s a tired characterization of prospects that happen every year.

I love how some think that if you drop a player into a completely different team, they would play as good if not better than their current team they play for. Does it happen? Yes. Is it an absolute fact it will happen? No.

Hell, I would vote for shrinking the playoffs 1st round best of three 2nd round best of five 3rd and finals best of seven I would also vote for either bringing back ties, or have OT until someone scores like it is in the playoffs. Fire the shootouts into the sun. I hate a skills competition deciding games. Always have. But that’s just me.
