Good to see him have success. My vote is another year in Roch. Hopefully he has another solid year and then bring him up in 24-25. He doesn’t NEED to dominate or crush it or kill it or whatever cute phrase one wants to use to indicate he’s “the best” in the AHL. Just have a solid season and his path should be very clear by March of 2024.

Not to mention what seems obvious to me (at least)…. Good player leadership doesn’t mean a team will win more. Just as much as bad player leadership doesn’t mean a team will lose more. But maybe that’s just me thinking that crazy stuff.

In your mind the definition of “inexperienced” is different than the definition in my mind. So we agree to disagree. no big deal. i’m thinking of the literal definition. Not putting feeling or emotion into the definition. Again, no big deal 👍🏼 I still have a positive outlook on the team overall. And nothing anybody types on a silly message board is going to change my mind on it. I wouldn’t be a season ticket holder for 19 years (next season) if I didn’t have some kind of positive outlook and enjoyment from the sport and team.

When the Sabres string together a few losses, it becomes easier and easier for me to identify who the WGR550 post game callers most likely are 😂 Some won’t like this or they will disagree, but I see (at a minimum) DG has the rest of this season and most likely all of next season to get this team better and into the playoffs. I agree. A few missing pieces, Does in fact mean that the team is largely built already. It’s just missing a few pieces. Management has identified the core more or less. And they will hopefully build around that as necessary.

Pssst … I have a super secret. Don’t tell anybody. Players who play physically in the NHL tend to get injured more. they tend to not have full seasons. They tend to be injured out of the lineup roughly 10% to 20% of the time during a given season. Are there exceptions? Sure you can find exceptions to anything. But the vast vast majority of “physical” players in the NHL tend to get injured more. Again, don’t spread this around, it’s super secret info.

Develop. Earn it. Come in take your lumps. Overcome. Get better. And settle into a long career as a solid starter. I will never view Levi as a Savior, just like I never viewed Eichel as a savior or Dahlin as a savior or Cozens as a savior. I view Levi as an important piece to a roster. I personally don’t like putting unreasonable, inflated expectations on one player. Then being let down because of those inflated unrealistic expectations. I hope the young man does well, and develops well. If that happens the rest will take care of itself.
