  4. I really like KO. A lot! But I would prefer moving on from him as far as playing. If he wants to retire and stay with the Sabres in some capacity … cool.
  5. I look at Marcus like this … 31 years old. He’ll be 32 before next season. He gets you roughly 25 pts a year. Fights are so rare in the todays NHL, that getting a 32 year old who’s major asset is fighting and checking is a wasted roster spot. Because he plays a hard game, he’s often injured. And at 32 that’s gonna get worse and longer IR time. Hard pass.
  6. If you were banned… You wouldn’t be able to post at all. In any thread.
  7. I think he’s one of the best passers on the team. He’s young. Developing. I’d rather see what steps (if any) he takes over the summer and next season. I like him.
  8. I think some fans live in the past and want three Patrick Kaletas is on their 4th line. I want a fourth line who can play tough minutes, play defensively, and contribute on the score sheet. And yes the occasional hard check is always welcome. But I would think every line an occasional hard check is welcome.
  9. If somebody has direct contact with the Toronto war room… That’s who will give you your answer you are looking for. Otherwise your asking a question that can’t be answered accurately or with any satisfaction. But I think you know that.
  10. Don’t fool yourself. KA and DG will both have the entire next season to improve the roster and improve the record to get into the playoffs. Nothing less than a full season. Not six months from today. IF KA fails to give DG the soldiers to make the playoffs, then come next off season, he’ll most likely be gone. If KA gives DG the soldiers in the next 6-8 months and DG fails to get them into the playoffs, then DG will most likely be gone after the season. At least that’s how I see it playing out. Overall, I think KA is a little more on the hot seat this summer than DG will be next season.
  11. At this point, no one who claims KA does nothing or will do nothing, is taken seriously. That opinion is disingenuous agenda driven garbage for attention. Now, Making the right moves at the right time… That’s a completely different conversation and a valid one to banter back and forth about. Hopefully KA will be smartly aggressive enough to improve the major holes this season has exposed. I’m confident in thinking he won’t mortgage the future in order to do it. And I for one, am totally cool with that approach.
  12. Nice 50/50 jackpot $273,000
  13. I think he’s been showcased almost all season.
  14. 50/50 is at $251,000 😮
  15. A “kick” goal was allowed against the Sabres about a month or so ago too.
  16. Ok. That’s nice. Nothing wrong with your opinion.
  17. 50/50 at $215,000 😮
  18. A lot of nice chances the 50/50 is up to $180,00 now
  19. If nothing else, keep the goathead winning record intact 😂
  20. Yea what Taro said. When I got my shirt they had a lot left hope you get it
  21. My wife and I will be at the final game here. Hopefully get there early so we can get our cheap T-shirts 😂 Sabres … 5 Sens … 2 Tuch, KO, or Rousek with a goal
  22. Craig Anderson did not reveal any plans about his future on Thursday morning, only that he is trying to soak in every moment of the Buffalo Sabres' final home game of the season. Anderson will start in goal for the Sabres against the Ottawa Senators, the team for which he spent the majority of his accomplished career. "I've been very fortunate to play this game for a very long time," Anderson said. "I'm just going to enjoy every last bit of it. The last few years have been on borrowed life support here. Just kind of take the moment as it is, because when it's over, it's over. "It's not looking too far forward and just trying to stay in the moment." Coverage on MSG begins at 6:30 p.m. The puck drops at 7. The Sabres were eliminated from the playoff race with their loss in New Jersey on Tuesday, but they return home with no shortage of motivations. A major one will be winning for Anderson, who will have family in attendance for what could be the final game of his career. "There's a lot of respect for Craig in our locker room, from the coaching staff as well," Sabres coach Don Granato said. Anderson, 41, is the oldest player in the NHL and happens to play on the league's youngest team. He has spent the past two seasons serving as a dependable presence in net, a vocal leader on the bench, and a mentor in the dressing room. Anderson ranks 32nd in NHL history with 318 wins and 29th with 708 games played, the majority of which came during his 10 seasons with the Senators. He hit the 300-win and 700-game milestones while in a Sabres uniform. "At the end of the day, it's about being around the guys," he said. "Everyone here is a close-knit group and that's something special to be a part of and that's something that I can be proud to be a part of." Ottawa has won its last two games, including a 3-2 victory in its home finale against Carolina on Monday. Claude Giroux became the 96th player in NHL history to record 1,000 career points with two goals and an assist. The Sabres are 1-2-0 against the Senators this season. The Sabres won the previous meeting in Buffalo 4-1 on opening night, fueled by a 35-save performance from Craig Anderson. The Senators won both meetings in Ottawa.
  23. So if I’m following along correctly … it’s only a good or great season if the Sabres “win” something. Comparing to prior seasons … Its not a good or great season if certain players developed well during the season. It’s not a good or great season if the overall record or point total improved. It’s not a good or great season if the product overall was more entertaining to watch. It’s not a good or great season if certain players had career seasons. It’s not a good or great season if the level of coaching improved from last season. It’s not a good or great season if the players have all felt like they belong to a real team. A complete team. And they all get along well with each other. Chemistry isn’t important either.
