Of the teams in the playoffs, what is the average hits per game in the REGULAR season? If the Sabres only get 14.4 hits per game on average. Then it’s only fair to compare the other playoff teams during the regular season. Not the playoffs. I mean the Preds were at 27.4 hits a game. The Sens were at 27.9 hits a game. The Pens were at 28.1 hits a game. The Flyers were at 27.1 hits a game.

Some people like / enjoy the “I’m gonna be kind of prick to the interviewee” style of “journalism”. The Jerry Sullivan, Mike Harrington abrasive jerk store stuff. I personally don’t. It comes off immature, amateurish, and a dick. It’s not nice. It’s not professional. It’s certainly not respectful.

I’d be surprised if Dahlin receives more than 10 mil per. And Power receives more than 8 mil per. Both 7 or 8 year deals. As far as Mitts I would be surprised if KA signs him earlier than next summer. I think he wants to see if Mitts has a second good season before committing or trading. A risk, but a risk KA would be willing to do. All things considered.

Who still thinks that what is said or not said at press conferences is 100% of what is said and not said behind closed doors? Who still thinks that what is fed to the media is exactly what is said and not said behind closed doors?

Very few GM’s of any sports organization throw players or agents or coaches under the bus in public. Or say anything even semi-disparaging. The most “damning thing“ he said regarding Johnson was they are “waiting now“. That’s fine as far as I’m concerned he doesn’t need to say anything more regarding Johnson and their talks. Obviously he thinks highly of Johnson otherwise he wouldn’t be talking to his agent to sign him/finding out where they are at.

Meh … I thought the first five minutes of DG’s Press conference pretty much answered the whole playoffs scenario for next season.

I like John Warrow. I do. But why does it seem like his questions are a gigantic word salad. And it seems like most of them are that way. I am certainly not telling him how to do his job. He knows how to do it better than I ever would. But I would think just a one or two sentence statement that ends in question mark would be better for not only him, but the fans, The rest of the media there, and the person he’s asking the question to. That’s just the way I see it but, maybe I’m wrong.

I disagree about the radio silence. All season long people have been busting on him. On Multiple hockey forums and multiple social media places. and he didn’t guide anything… It was a team effort. At least that’s the way I see it. agree to disagree.
