Hart and Levi would be a better tandem than the current cast of goalies. I would get Briere’s attention by offering UPL, Murray or Weissbach and a 2023 second round pick. If that didn’t do it, I’d throw in a 2024 5th or 6th round pick too. But that’s it. That’s enough. Overpayment yes. I don’t think that’s an obscene overpayment that will hurt in the long run. And if that’s what’s gonna take to get the attention of Briere that we are serious about Hart… Then so be it.

Karlsson signed that contract in 2019 at 11.5 mil per. Doughty signed that contract in 2018 at 11 mil per. Whatever Dahlin signs, won’t start until the 24-25 season. 10 mil per is a very fair contract for both sides. Hell, so is 11 mil per.

Is Hart an improvement over UPL, or Comrie? I think so. Is Hart going to cost a lot to acquire? I don’t think so. Is it worth the shot? If he has the right personality and attitude for the team, then yes. Is/will the Sabres D and O be better next season than Philly’s? If yes, then Hart and Levi will have better seasons too.

I got news for you… There will be rookies on this team next season. Almost all Rookies don’t look “ready” in their first year. And what does that even mean? It’s such a subjective term… The term “ready”. Everyone’s definition will be different. Yours isn’t wrong. Mine isn’t wrong. The next person isn’t wrong. It’s just a different way of looking at what “ready” really is.

It’s called fair for both sides. Just like some other contracts that KA has signed with some players. You like it, I like it, we all like it 😂
