Your circle of friends/family may eat late into the night. That’s cool and it works for you. My circle usually doesn’t. Again, that’s cool. And I originally expressed my opinion on a 5:00 game. A player in his prime multi season thirty goal scorer about to sign a big contract in 2019 will easily get more than 7.5 a year. In 2017 or before, probably not. But now, that’s what they go for. Skinner will get from some team max or near max term. He just will. It’s in his best interest to demand and get that. And some team will sign him for more than 7.5. I would be shocked if he agreed to anything below 8.0. Like it or hate it, salaries are going up and up and up.

Up and down the lineup, there’s plenty of talent. Of course there’s always room to improve. But the most glaring hole is the system and coaching staff. It’s just so inept at effective, smart in-game adjustments. Imagine if we had the system and coaching of San Jose or Winnipeg. Housley and staff are so much worse.

Yes. What Housley and JB are doing isn’t tanking. It’s poor decisions. Big difference. Too many fans are mixing any kind of losing or poor GMing or poor coaching with “tanking”. I know it won’t stop some from using that cute tanking trigger word, but it just isn’t true tanking. Good grief....
