And if one looks at a race of a person and compares it to an animal, and sees racism no matter the context or true intent, than that’s a narrow prism and ignorant. Granted, that’s not always the case. Sometimes it’s flat out intended racism. And by no means am I defending what she said. I just asked for clarity on what she said and the context. Can we please move on or do you want to go back n forth on this all night?

IMO everyone except Eichel, Reinhart, and Skinner regressed or plateaued under the masterful watch of Phil “lack of in game adjustments and head scratching lines” Housley. Good by-eeee Housley!!!

Since I’ve heard many European prospects mention that exact phrase… “North American game” They then mention the size of the ice. Angle changes, speed changes, and timing changes. It’s something a lot of European players that come over need a full season to get used to, sometimes longer.

Next season, I’m looking forward to you thinking almost everyone on the roster all of a sudden “figuring it out” and “getting better” and still not thinking it’s mostly because of the system they play and the coaching staff. ? You have claimed most fans here overrate the entire roster. Maybe, just maybe you need to look in the mirror. Perhaps just perhaps it’s you who underrate the entire roster. You seem to be the only one who’s doing that. Maybe your evaluation is a bit off. And pointing to low hanging fruit like their record isn’t proof of individual talent as a whole. But it sure points to coaching to a large degree. And it looks like JB agreed with that assessment so far .... After hopefully getting a better coaching staff, this team is 3-5 players away from getting into the playoffs. With the youth currently on the team, prospects developing on the very good Amerks team, junior teams, and over in Europe, the team is well stocked in regards to talented youth in the pipeline. Hopefully JB can go out and get a few productive vets with great leadership qualities. Especially with Poms leaving, and perhaps other vets getting moved out. One thing I will say that was overrated on the 2018-19 Sabres roster, is great leadership. Eichel at THIS point in his career isn’t all that great of a leader. But that’s not to say he’s slowly growing into one. And all the guys who wore an A aren’t great leaders either IMO. That affects the locker room negatively.

By some fans perspectives .... all coaches underachieve except the one who win the cup. And yet most GMs don’t think that way at all. If they did, there would be 30 head coaching vacancies every year since all those coaches sucked and underachieved. Am I doing it right? IMO you can actually have very good or great coaches and still not win a cup and yet, they aren’t underachievers.

For all we know, JB is takiing to 5 other candidates or no other candidates. I bet this whole “talking to McClellan” didn’t come from JB or the Sabres. I’m of the mindset of ... yawn... rumors. I’ll believe it when I see it. Not gonna get too up or down on rumors from twitter junkies.

I think the current tandem will be the same for the next two and final years of Hutton’s contract. No matter what. It’s possible, the future tandem will be UPL backing up Ullmark in 21-22.

Yea I agree. I think Babcocks job is rather safe unless there is a monumental downward spiral next season. Which I think is almost impossible considering the talent on the team.
