  1. “Realistic” ... “and offer sheet” aren’t a good match to use in the same sentence. ill go out on a stable limb here and say there won’t be one (or more) offer sheet the entire off season.

  3. Glad Caps won The Calgary/Colorado game is intense and fast!
  4. With the idiot Marchand, Watch what the Bruins come back and start doing next game ...
  5. And another ... wow
  6. Nice goal by Backstrom there. Nice screen.
  7. I’m so glad I’m not a bridge jumper, conspiracy nut, glass half empty, negative nancy kinda fan. It’s a lot less stressful. ?
  8. I’m glad you have some common sense, decorum and a sense of respect and decency. I would have been the same way. its amazing how some fans (fanatics) don’t possess that.
  9. Haha ... I know! And Butcher! Some even still hate Hasek for leaving Buffalo. So immature and petty IMO.
  10. Well, it’s overwhelmingly a no.... smart
  11. Which is very very commonplace for the majority of coaches. Especially ones with any kind or decent or good track record.
  12. A new, lower salary cap limit was negotiated for the collective bargaining agreement starting with the 2012–13 season.[3] To transition to the new cap, each team had two amnesty buyoutopportunities: after the 2012–13 season and after the 2013–14 season, to release a player (or specify a player already released) that is bought out in full, counting against the players' overall share in revenues, but not counting towards the team's salary cap. The contract also limits salary variance on contracts from year to year to no more than 35% and no year can be less than 50% of the highest year.[11] This was done due to the increasing frequency of teams signing star NHL players signing front-loaded contracts with the intention of lowering the salary's annual average, and thus, lowering the cap hit. One notable incident of this involved Ilya Kovalchuk, who signed a 17-year deal with the New Jersey Devils in July 2010, prompting the NHL to nullify the contract. Other similar incidents have involved Chris Pronger, Roberto Luongo and Marian Hossa.
  13. What does his production in SJ have to do with his “rumored” personality?
  14. Kane scores. Makes it 4-1
  15. Fired is different than “relieved of his duties” find me something we can sink our teeth into that says Pegula stopped paying Bylsma the moment he took the job as the assistant in Detroit. And I think he was a TV hockey talking head on NBC or something before that even.
  16. Yes money wise it is. Not time wise. Only the money is locked in and guaranteed.
  17. SJ is pouring it on now. Kane with an assist.
  18. And again ... he can be fired one day, one week, one month. One year, or 5 years after he signs. So technically the only true investment unrecoverable is money. Not the 5 years of the term, since it can end any time Pegula/GM wants.
  19. I’m glad you are saying that. That is why I took issue with you using the phrase “tied to McClellan” if Pegula paid him 5 mil. for 5 years. No amount of salary for no amount of term ties ANY coach to the Sabres. Pegulas ability to walk away from millions of dollars of his money owed to a few ex-coaches now proves to me $5 mil. Isn’t and won’t “kill” him. Also known as ... not tied to a coach Public perception or the potential perception for future coaches considering Buffalo for a coaching gig is a diffferent topic entirely.
  20. SJ goal off of Pavalski’s face .... ouch!
  21. Harold Ballard was .... a peach Jeremy Jacobs is .... quite bad
  22. I’d he doesn’t get the job done. Yes. Absolutely. Not tied to him at all. Do you mean “in two years” equals “short while”?
  23. Not at all tied to him. He can be fired one day after he signs. Good grief...
  24. My opinion is based on quality of ownership and what they have done for the organization and community. You can have your opinion based on playoff appearances. No one is wrong here. It’s just opinions.
  25. Besides the Knox brothers, Terry has been the best owner in the history of this franchise. Way better than John “jailbird” Rigas Much better than Tom “penny pincher” Golisano no, I wouldn’t fire him
