Buffalo median household income is $9,446 lower than the median New York household income and $4,888 less than the US median household income.” With NYS and local taxes, That $4,888 is even more pronounced. So the amount of disposable income to purchase season tickets for a pro team like the Sabres and Bills I would guess, is more of a burden and investment than other lower taxed states on an individual/family. It’s also why I bet 75-80% of STH share the cost with multiple people, or sells them online to help recoup the cost as best they can.

Quite true. I believe UPL would get buried in the playoffs. As shaky as the goaltending is ... go with the goalies who helped get you in the playoffs. They are used to this level of hockey. Since WNY population is still decreasing, (although it’s slowing down) there is no way this area can support three pro teams. It barely supports two pro teams. And that’s with the help of southern Ontario. It would be a different story also if the Bisons sold out most games and had a ton of season ticket holders. Fact is most games are half full, sometimes less. I don’t see the WNY area in my lifetime getting an MLB and/or pro NBA team. Just not enough population to support it.
