He’s a solid 3rd line guy. With small stints on the 2nd line. No thanks. We have enough younger guys to fill that roll that would do as well or almost as well as Myers and a hell of a lot cheaper.

I’ve been wanting him off the team for 2 full seasons. This will be his final season with the Sabres. Hopefully. Don’t re-sign him. Please. Very nice guy. Just don’t want him on the Sabres anymore ... On a positive note ... I hope he heals and recovers fully and can continue to play in the NHL. He’s only 28.

I understand what you’re saying… I just thought Gronberg at some point in an interview said something to the effect of IF he went to the NHL, that HE would want an assistant coaching position first to get used to things in the league. He would not want a HC position right away. That was why I mention Keefe as HC and Gronberg as AC. It’s just a random thought....

Just post key points. Like an outline with a handful of points to chew on to discuss with everyone. Kinda stunts discussion. Just my POV. i know if I had the athletic, and wanted to bring the discussion here, I would make it a point to just bring in key discussion points for all to see/debate. Skinner at 6, 7, or 8 years seems most likely to me. No matter the team who signs him. 8 being only for Sabres obviously. For his age, cap hit will be somewhere as low as 7.5 to as high as 8.5 mil. I will be shocked if it’s lower or higher than that range.

Perhaps. I think it would benefit way more posters on this forum if one is to link an athletic article, they should also cut n paste key points or the entire article (if not too large). So there can be a discussion about the link/article.

Huh? I don’t know what you mean by that. Care to be more clear or rephrase? Allow me to clarify what I meant by that other post ... I can understand if some people don’t care for the national anthem being sung at sporting events. Fine. I can understand if some people although I think it’s the vast vast minority, don’t want military people honored at sporting events. Frankly I find that stance a little offensive, because I think all military people should be thanked and honored as much is possible. But I can at least understand and not have an issue if that honoring and thanking went away at sporting events. What I take a great offense to, are individuals who think any nations anthems suck. Because then the obvious extension, is the nation itself sucks. And if somebody’s going to say that the national anthem sucks, then I’m going to verbalize now offended that makes me. If this board is truly looking out for everyone’s interest, then there should be no topics that can get political in nature because it always ends in roughly 50% of the posters being offended or upset. If the comment about the US national anthem sucking was instantly modded out (Because it could offend someone, and be taken as political speech) then no one would take offense to the pushback that could cause. back to playoff talk in this playoff thread ... If the CEO of a car company has a masters in business and finance. And doesn’t know gear ratios, struts, and how to interpret crash test results, then he/she needs to stay the F away from telling the experts in those areas how to do their job and influencing their decisions in such matters. Owners (unless they are very knowledgeable about what makes a great coach) should stay the F away from influencing who coaches a team. Why is that logic flawed? What logical, well thought out reason is there that says Pegula must have a say? Not “feelings” or “the right to” or “but but but he owns the team/writes the checks”

I don’t care who on this forum says otherwise ... Terry without a doubt in my mind, had a say in hiring Housley, Bylsma, and Nolan. I hope he 100% stays out of the next hire.
