Round Three:2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs The Conference Finals
Zamboni replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Stay classy Boston. Stay classy... https://www.foxnews.com/sports/4-arrested-in-connection-with-assault-after-playoff-game -
And if the coaching, system and in game adjustments are better than Housley’s genius... most, if not all our D will look better overall this season. Not judging the first month or two, but overall over the course of an entire season. One can hope that’s the case.

I want no part of Vanek. Mr. Molasses can play somewhere else and slow down his line.

Players who play all 82 games plus a couple preseason, is a rarity. The majority of players miss 1-5 games a season due to small injuries/dings. I’ll be glad if Jack doesn’t have long term injuries. If he plays 78-80 games ... great!

Maybe some fans downplay the importance of 3rd and 4th lines. I’m not one of them. They are so so vital. -

Not the best rendition.... See if Thornton or Kane can get a goal. Both have been quiet. -

Thank god. Saw that movie. Change the channel and never click back. -
No PP slapping, no construction gloves, and no “just go out and like um kumpete!” garbage. I like it.

No idea. But as we all know, he can be fired at any point. And if history is any indicator he won’t fulfill the length of his contract. ?

Like every coaching hire, I’ll give him time to turn the team around and see what he can do. It won’t be overnight. It won’t be over a month or two most likely. It may take ⅔ of a season to really see the fruits of his labor and have a team that’s sooooo used to losing, change it’s mindset and believe in themselves and compete and win at a consistent clip. Jumping off bridges and early declarations or conclusions now or a month into a season is obnoxious and short sighted in my opinion.

Well, I guess once it’s officially official… You can close up this thread

I echo every statement ... except the 3rd one. I can’t stand Marchand. And no, I’m not one of those “but I’d love him on my team” types. I’ve disliked him from the moment he hit the ice for the Bruins. Always will. I sooo want STL or SJS to win the cup now. -
Well, that turned out to be more significant then I expected. Yikes. Hopefully a sprain or something semi-minor.

I’m looking forward and am optimistic about a new coach with a new system turning this team in the right direction over the course of the first 35-40 games. ?? I’m also looking forward to certain posters thinking it all had to do with several players magically developing at the same time, and little to do with better coaching and system and effective in-game adjustments. ? And even though it won’t happen on a consistent basis thru the first half of the season, i think the team overall, will improve. Baring a few key injuries to key players, the team ends the season 15-25 points better than this season.

Yep. No big deal. Dinged up. Likely sits a game. Then most likely plays the next.

Pilut Undergoes Shoulder Surgery -- Out 5-6 Months

Maybe his agent ... might welcome a change ... yep. A few maybes one things for sure.... all players who don’t make the playoffs and don’t win a cup are sick of losing. I mean unless all they are doing is collecting a paycheck for a game they play and couldn’t care less about winning. But I would guess that’s a very very rare mindset.

Yawn.... nothing to see here. Maybe some twitter twit can “hear rumors” that Hutton wants to go play in Austria. Or or or maybe Reinhart wants a bazillion doll hairs or he wants to be traded to Vancouver and be closer to Mommy and Daddy. ? Asplund at THIS point would not be better on the Sabres than Larsson BTW. In 2-3 seasons, hopefully so. “Shiny new rookie toy” doesn’t always equal, “better than established NHLers”. Aaaand sometimes, on occasion, it does.

Pilut Undergoes Shoulder Surgery -- Out 5-6 Months
Zamboni replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Yes the dosage is naturally lower with newer 256 scanners. A shoulder MRI (Piluts injury) in a 1.5T would take roughly 25 mins. In a newer 3T, maybe 12-15 mins. And with the image quality, especially of the 3T, a CT (depending on the doctor and surgeon), is complete overkill and unnecessary for his injury diagnosis and course of treatment. Although most docs and surgeons still want a CT because they are more familiar and comfortable with “reading” CT images as opposed to MRI images. But that is slowly changing. Too slowly IMO. i think this thread is getting off track a bit with discussing the merits of CT/MRI. Let’s turn the wheels and get back on Pulit Blvd. I want to see Pilut succeed here. With the right coach and right role/usage and partner, I think he could be a solid #4 in the NHL. -

True but it’s overkill. 128 slice, hell even 64 slice would do what’s needed for any pre-op evaluation/diagnosis for structures like shoulders. With reconstructions in all three planes. -
Meh ... it’s nothing (level of injury) until it’s something.
