  1. Not only that, but it’s allowed and not deleted in a hockey thread. So if we want to poke fun and generalize about political parties, it’s ok anywhere apparently. ?‍♂️ I wish there was a thread that all political commentary of any kind could be sent to. And political jabs could be kept out of hockey discussions. With posts being deleted and warnings given for mixing politics and sports.
  2. https://www.pensionplanpuppets.com/and-now-you-know/2019/1/31/18165062/nhl-contracts-ahl-contracts-echl-contracts-cba-nhlpa-phpa-how-do-nhl-contracts-work-waivers-two-way you’re welcome.
  3. That’s quite the temper tantrum there. Someone needs a nap. I bet no one boos. And I bet you never change the channel especially when he steps on the ice. Why? Because you want to be super critical of his every shift. So my guess is you’ll watch every savory minute with bated breath waiting for him to make mistakes. Then race to this hockey forum to make it known how much you hate him. Is this about accurate? ? i personally have moved on (about 3 days afterwards) from the whole “he’s such a jerk for not picking us a few years ago”. It’s very “low self esteem-ish” IMO. I hope Vesey does well. Very well. It would only help the team overall if he does.
  4. Good thing we have until Oct. 3rd to get one. I hope JB continues to take his time. Just get it right ?? I like what’s he’s doing so far. He’s getting a ton of talent for Roch. Good thing it’s not really costing much besides $$$. Some fans can’t appreciate that. I think there will be more moves. Moves that will even more directly affect the Sabres current roster. Hopefully a top 6 established vet.
  5. Well I will gladly stand corrected. I didn’t expect any offer sheets. Wow MTL is like ...
  6. Love it! Not only that, but it helps when injuries ultimately hit the Sabres, there are quality options available to come up and pitch in. The less “barely an AHLer” call-ups, the better. Good Depth keeps a franchise healthy and competitive.
  7. Good signing for Roch. ?
  8. Good signing for Roch ?
  9. Low bar man ... low bar ?
  10. You “converse” AND follow Harrington? May I ask ... um, why?
  11. He may sniff a handful of games on the top six to see if there is any chemistry. But I bet the vast majority of the season he plays among the bottom six. It will be fun watching fans freak out during the handful of top six games though. ?
  12. I love the rumors of threats of offer sheets. Empty threats.
  13. Little by little it will be available in more stores throughout July. Woah ....
  14. Then as they say ... agree to disagree.
  15. Are we signing Dahlin now? Today? Damn I missed the twitter message from PHam! ? When his entry level contract is up, he will get 8 years. And he will get between 8-10 per. And that, Dahlin will take to the bank. Sorry if that ruffles your feathers. It’s business and it’s practically a forgone conclusion.
  16. I don’t know if you meant to imply it or not, but I personally didn’t say it was ALL Housley. I said Coaching staff as a whole was the main reason. With Housley being the head cheese of the staff therefore getting most of the blame. Of course every single team could always use “more talent”. It just wasn’t the biggest reason for their putrid record. A reason? Yes!
  17. And if it all goes to plan like you laid out ... it’s a good signing for the Amerks. I think part of the problem with a section of Sabres fans (not naming anyone in particular so relax sensitive fans) is they don’t think of any team beyond the NHL Buffalo Sabres. No thought or care about Amerks, Junior leagues, Euro leagues etc. I will agree that if Lazar is on the regular season (not meaningless preseason) games, baring injury to a 4th liner, then something is wrong. These small signings help tremendously to the overall health of the franchise as a whole. At least that’s how I see it.
  18. Nope. You’ve been saying this in multiple threads over the months and I know you won’t change your mind. But the major reason, the biggest reason, the main reason, the Sabres weren’t successful is the coaching staff. And Housleys ghastly inability to execute effective in-game adjustments. He was horrific at it. Sure, a team could always always always try to improve their roster, and that falls squarely on JB for not doing it, (especially a good 2C) during most of the season while struggling, but the overall talent on the team was not the major reason the season played out the way it did. With a better coaching staff, I bet the 18-19 roster would have been 15-20 points better.
  19. Interesting take. I’ve thought this board makes too many threads. A lot of threads can fit inside other threads, but many like to make their own thread. Then the same topic is discussed it two or three different threads. One of a few Examples would be a “around the NHL” thread. All league news worthy things could go there that aren’t Sabre related. But instead several threads are made that are “around the NHL” news. Then posters have to click into several threads to try to read all the news coming in. I know this won’t happen unfortunately, but I like a slightly more neat and tidy board where topics that can obviously fit into others threads are merged. Just a preference. Oh well. ?‍♂️
  20. Lindsay Vallis. Played one NHL game. Then became a Nurse.
  21. I want nooooooo part of Kadri. Guy plays stupid and dirty. I’m so glad it will never happen.
  22. Team Perreault and team Hasek skate to a 1 - 1 tie. shootout time ... team Hasek wins 2-1
  23. And a great shot. I think he’s ready to take his game to Roch.
  24. Team Hasek wins against team Martin 4 - 2
