Besides the actual tank years, I mentally wipe the slate clean just before the preseason every year and am optimistic and want the team to do well. There’s enough negative Nancy’s year round in this fan base. I don’t need to join them. I hope RK can get more out of most of the roster than Housley got. Go Sabres!

Like most teams, the Alternates get spread around the locker room quite often year after year. Nothing shocking to me here. Next year one or both of those won’t be Sabres alternates.

Yikes. I think Sheary is a good 3rd liner. I choose to believe a lot of the players who had poor years under Housley was because of Housley and his terrible system and horrible in game adjustments. I hope RK can squeeze more from them.

I rarely rarely rarely ever go to Taco Bell. In fact before the other day I haven’t been in a Taco Bell in about four years. It will play out one way or the other ... Sobotka will do well on a top 6 roll. It’s a different coach, approach, system and several new faces/team mates. I would love to see him suceeed. Sobotka will look as bad or worse than last year after a few games and will quickly be demoted to the 3rd or 4th line. Even though it’s regular season, I know (sometimes I wonder if most fans know) that there will be line changes all the time. Depends on who’s clicking together, chemistry, on ice results, and effort. Most coaches who make it to the NHL level screw with lineups mid game all the time. I’m not worried about Sobotka in regards to where he ultimately plays the most.

Raise your hand if you think the coach has the sole discretion and decision making as to who is on the roster and who gets waived, cut, sent down or traded away? Or give a thumbs up if you think the GM of an NHL hockey team has the sole discretion and decision-making as to who is on the roster and who gets waved, cut, sent down or traded away? Speed is what does it. Not height. a man falling through the atmosphere doesn’t go nearly as fast as say a metoeorite, space capsule, space shuttle etc ... With a human, not enough friction to create great heat.

New faces... Lazar Olofsson Miller Montour (pretty much) Joker New Coach and most staff Am I missing anyone? A lot of new depth for Roch. yea this team looks different than last years. But time will tell in the style, system, and record.

Avalanche built ?? I would say they have a better chance than the Leafs.
