Although some fans hate the Sabres goal song ... first, there are much worse. Second, prior goal songs for the Sabres were much worse than the current one. I’m surprised no one has posted just as bad or worse songs than the Leafs current one.

I’ve always hated the “tickets sold” number they announce. It’s such a farce. It’s always gonna be 15,000+ because there are over 15,000 season ticket holders. Those are bought and paid for before opening night. I know it’ll never change, but it would be nice if they reported the number of tickets scanned at the entrance. Not the tickets sold.

I personally won’t get all caught up on and “depend” on Cozens being an effective 2nd line center (if he even develops that well) until 3-4 years after he makes the team full time. In the meantime, we need either Johansson to be that guy, or trade for one. But it’ll be costly. *if he even develops that well* ... means although I anticipate and hope he develops that well, I’m not convinced it will happen, until it actually happens. The Sabres need to trade with a worst case scenario in mind. Not hopes that a 18-19 year old will step in and fill a huge role right away. Develop develop develop.

That’s why +/- is such a lame stat. Eichel, and VO go off for a change. Reinhart is 10 ft. from the bench about to get off as his replacement is about to jump over the boards. A goal against is scored. Well, that’s one for the - column. Such an inaccurate lame outdated stat. Especially so if they players +/- is under 10. Now if the stat is getting above/below 10 or 15, ok then I can see there is enough gap to surmise a logical opinion on the players or lines performance. Another stupid stat or observation I dislike is “on pace”. It almost never ends up close to the “on pace” supporters spew. Last year i remember reading ZOMG Eichel is on pace for 110 points! Fast forward to April and he gets 82. ? it’s like some people don’t take into account slumps and injuries. as well as Eichel (as an example) is playing I bet he ends up with somewhere in the neighborhood of 82-92 points. Which, (let’s not confuse my stance), would be great! i know it’s off topic talking about Eichel. But it was based on the +/- stat and I kinda morphed it to a larger issue ?

I wouldn’t want him back full time. But if he did like 9 other games this season or every home game that falls on a Monday thru Thursday or something like that. That would be a nice treat.

On Eichels goal where he was left all alone ... Reinhart drew the defender to him along the side of the net which left Eichel all alone in front. On Jokers goal, Reinhart kept it in by feeding it to Eichel down low along the boards. Then Eichel throws it in front where it eventually finds Joker. Nice big plays that at first glance look like little nothing plays to those who only point watch.

Looking at MoJo and Reinhart point totals compared to prior seasons up to Dec 2nd .... Yea, I’m not the least bit worried about either.... at all.

I would love Simmonds. But my reservations lay in the fact that he’s sooo not what he was when he was in Philly. He seems to be declining. A lot.
