  1. Beauty pass by Johansson!
  2. I think part of the problem with some fans is, they didn’t follow him or know about his productivity before being a Sabre. He has almost always been a (roughly) 12-15 goals/15-20 assist guy. The eye test looks like he could be more, because he shows flashes, but he just simply isn’t and will most likely never be. And his cap hit reflects exactly what he brings. He’s on a fair contract. I’m not saying you, but some fans need to seriously dial back the higher expectations of Sheary. It’s not gonna happen. 30-35 point 3rd liner who can play spot duty on the 2nd line on occasion.
  3. The Sabres host the Florida Panthers tonight and it's also '90s Night -errr '90s Day - with it now being a 1 p.m. faceoff from KeyBank Center. Welcome back some alumni from 1990s before the game and make sure you're one of the first 10,000 fans in the building so you can grab a red and black "goathead" pennant. This is the third of four meetings between the Sabres and Panthers this season. Last meeting: Buffalo defeated Florida 5-2 in Florida on Nov. 24, 2019 Next meeting: Thursday, March 19 in Florida The Sabres are 3-6-1 in their last 10 games vs. the Panthers; 4-6-0 at home. With wins in their first two meetings of the season, the Sabres have multiple victories against the Panthers in a season for the first time since 2016-17. A win today would give Buffalo wins in three consecutive matchups with Florida for the first time since they won three straight from Feb. 10 to Oct. 20, 2011.
  4. That’s gonna be a hard sign to see sitting up in the 300s ? seriously ... have great time! get there in time to get your goat head pennant. Two of em!
  5. Puppy breath/smell
  6. Oh ok. Well this is a long winded article but if you want to read about the current thoughts of +/- .... https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/just-doesnt-add-history-future-plus-minus/
  7. As long as he’s no relation to Mike Wilson ... I’m good ... go get em kid!
  8. Ir would be like watching paint dry while watching a slug travel an inch. ?
  9. In the incomplete vacuum strawman comparisons of just pointzzz.... Since the trade... A. Nylander ... 39 games. 5 goals, 9 assists. H. Jokiharju ... 42 games. 3 goals, 7 assists. Nylander has looked (most games) very pedestrian. Not terrible. Nothing great. Joker has looked mostly solid, effective and smart with his positioning and puck movement.
  10. Not to mention it’s a very useless stat to gauge a players worth. But I know everyone on these boards know that.
  11. These do something threads make me laugh. It’s highly entertaining. At the risk of repeating myself, JB is solidly in the drivers seat for the next few months UNLESS he does nothing. Well, he already did something yesterday. BUT, I think it just isn’t quite enough yet. IF he makes another trade that brings in one more proven top 9 NHLer. He’s 100% safe for at least the entire offseason and perhaps deep into next season. All the wishing for JB to be gone today, now ... is just wasted energy IMO.
  12. I knew a guy many years ago who had that. That’s gotta be a tough situation. But I’m sure you’re used to it. If you had it since birth, you know no different so that’s normal for you.
  13. Alopecia universalis?
  14. See ya in five games Perry. Ya filthy animal.
  15. Which may take more than one period, or one game, or one week to know how he fits in with RK’s system and new teammates.
  16. Risto Dahlin McCabe Montour Miller Joker AHL call ups with some NHL experience like Pilut Borgen etc... Bogo isn’t markedly better than any of those. At least not enough to warrant hanging on to a player who wants to be moved.
  17. The same as before a middle six winger was acquired. Between his injuries and his contract… It will be challenging but not impossible.
  18. Productively speaking, he could be another Vesey. Or he could be another KO. Or he could be Johansson. My expectations are rock bottom, but I hope production wise, he’s better than all three.
  19. Since equipment isn’t a form of trade capital, I think a team could take a flyer on ERod for a 4th or 5th round pick. He may find his game on a teams 3rd or 4th line. Or just have a 2 way career for years to come.
  20. This year in March will be 74 years. I think this could be a strong suggestion. Call it “Sabres golden promise”
  21. Depends on the opponent. Some games he does pretty well. Tonight, not so much.
  22. Nice deflection Reinhart!!
  23. Opinion vs. fact.... sometimes the lines get blurred with sports fans
  24. Good thing is it will quiet the “do something!” fans... ? no ... it won’t.
  25. Two trades ... ok. Cool. Well, we’ll see if JB has more to come.
