Even though every player, yes even the best players in the league (let alone all others) aren’t the same player at 18 as they are at 20, 22, 24 etc ... some just want to call JG Wentworth (even if they won’t take the call) instead of waiting for the dividends to mature for years. ? If he’s serious with that comment, he’s not the only one.... I think 3-4 key effective trades would propel this team immensely. Look at the players who are UFA’s coming off the books most likely. That turnover is half the battle right there IMO.

Exactly. I’m not the biggest Rush fan. I like maybe 5-7 of their songs. But my god they are super talented and incredible musicians. I feel that same way about many bands. I can appreciate the talent, showmanship, and just how flat out professional they are. Not everybody has the same ability to have those kind of ears when it comes to truly listening and soaking in the music being created.

UFAs Forwards Frolik - probably gone Sheary - stays. I’d keep him at his current salary or a slight bump up. For 2 year deal. Vesey - 50/50 gone Girgensons - 50/50 gone Larsson - Stays on a two year deal as long as the price is right. Wilson - most likely gone unless he wants to do exactly what he did this season. As a call up due to injuries. UFA - Defense and Goalies Nelson - probably gone Gilmour - I think management likes him. I wouldn’t be surprised if he returns in a similar role. Yep. Hammond - gone - UPL to the AHL next year. Yep. RFA’s Forwards - more questions here ERod - no way Jbot brings him back - gone. Yep. Lazar - keep him around as long as he understands his role will be the same next season. Thompson - 1 year at the qualifying number. Yep. Mittelstadt - bank on him developing more. Sign him for three years on a two way. Olofsson - throw him a three year deal. Reinhart - 3 years 6 mill per season. That’s fair. I’d even go to 4 years. RFAs Defense and Goalies Pilut - keep Him with the understanding he’ll be used like he was this year unless he breaks out and makes it impossible to ignore him. Montour - 5 years 5 mil per season. They like his game and I think they view him as a core piece. Yep, that’s fair. I’d try to get it down to 4.2 - 4.5 mil. if possible. Johansson - AHL all-star should be in line for NHL call up soon. 2 year 2 way deal but with good AHL money. Yep, that’s fair. Ullmark - I still don’t view Ullmark as “the starter”. I think RK is just playing the hot glove no matter what the name is. Currently it’s Ullmark. I think Hutton and Ullmark will be the tandem again next season with the hope Ullmark develops even more. Sign Ullmark for 3 years around 2.5 - 3.2 mil. per. That’s more than double what he’s currently making.

Meh. Tornadoes hit in every month of the year. It’s just obviously more likely in spring and summer months. Not to mention Texas, as you know is the tornado capital of the world. Which sucks, because I really have considered moving to Texas or perhaps Utah when I retire. Getting the hell out of NY as soon as I can. State is going to hell. On many levels.

Same age. Same height. Granlund has been more productive over his career. I’d take Mikael Granlund for a 2C consideration.

Like that’s even remotely sustainable ? Dude can’t stick with an NHL team. He’s on his 3rd NHL team and 2nd AHL team. And a couple seasons in the Swiss league. At 32, I predict he has one more year left in him in NA, then go over to Europe for two more. He’s a cute little success story. A pat on the back, good job little fire plug guy. Heart of a lion and an engine that doesn’t quit. Frankly, I’m glad Sabres moved on from him.

I’m not saying any of what you said is incorrect… But what I am saying is some fans love to believe all the smoke fire and negativity… And don’t believe anything to the contrary. It’s more fun for some to believe the delicious negative rumors. Or draw illogical conclusions from stories. It’s like some fans are the happiest when they’re mad at the team. It’s a weird mindset I’ll never grasp. One has to be very careful what they choose to believe and what they choose to brush off until there’s overwhelming evidence that the rumor is in fact true. Well, one doesn’t have to, But me personally, I choose to brush off 95% of the rumors and stories I see spewed on forums and where fans gather to gossip.

And since almost every move JB makes isn’t telegraphed or leaked before it’s actually done.... I’m in the “believe it (rumors) when I see it’s actually done”, boat.

For me, asking UPL to be the starter in the 21-22 season is way too early. I don’t think he’ll be ready. It’ll be more like: Ullmark UPL IF development continues for both. I also have a hard time seeing Cozens centering the 3rd line in his second year of 21-22 (assuming he makes the team next season). I think they will throw him on the wing and play spot duty at center from time to time on that season. Other than that .... there are so many factors and changes that can and probably will happen that I’d rather just wait n see what develops
